Capsule Corporation was an amateur, fan-created website founded 17 January 1997 by Glenn Wang (who went under the username "Dr. Briefs"). In addition to general character information, links, etc., Capsule Corporation served as the web-based home for the "Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z FAQ", a text-based document shared by Wang on his website and within communities like alt.fan.dragonball and rec.arts.anime where Wang was also an active participant.

Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z FAQ
The "Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z FAQ" was an extensive, multi-part text document containing various tidbits and archives of information about the Dragon Ball franchise, including video games, films,
Creation of the FAQ seems to have been prompted by a thread started on rec.arts.anime in December 1995 with a user asking for a link to the "famous" one (which a later user proposes may have been one created by Curtis Hoffmann).[1]. In response, Wang proposes that fans reading the thread work together to create one.
v0.25 of the FAQ existed and was offered for review on 01 January 1996.[2]
v0.30 of the FAQ, the first publicly-available version, was posted to rec.arts.anime on 08 January 1996.[3]
v0.50 of the FAQ, now a four-part document, was posted to rec.arts.anime on 29 January 1996.[4]
v0.60 of the FAQ, now a seven-part document, was posted to rec.arts.anime on 05 February 1996.[5]
v0.65 of the FAQ was posted to rec.arts.anime on 19 February 1996.[6]
v0.90 of the FAQ, now a nine-part document, was posted to rec.arts.anime on 18 March 1996.[7]
v1.00 of the FAQ was posted to rec.arts.anime on 01 April 1996.[8]
The FAQ was offered on Wang's website, which had not yet become Capsule Corporation, as of 15 April 1996.[9]
v1.25 of the FAQ, now back to an eight-part document, was posted to rec.arts.anime on 06 May 1996.[10]
v1.30 of the FAQ was posted to rec.arts.anime and alt.fan.dragonball on 15 September 1997.[11][12]
v1.40 of the FAQ, now back to a nine-part document, was posted to rec.arts.anime and alt.fan.dragonball on 14 October 1997.[13][14] This would be the final version produced by Wang, and would be regularly re-posted as-is from this point on.
