SREDBZ's Dragonball Homepage was an amateur, fan-created website founded in 1997 by Scott (who went under the username "SREDBZ"). The website was best known for its extensive media gallery which included images and video clip downloads. SREDBZ's Dragonball Homepage never formally "closed", but rather remained online in a dormant state as of early 2002.

SREDBZ was a regular member in the #ssppp and AOL fandom (namely "Japan - Dragon Ball Z") chatrooms.

As early as November 2000, SREDBZ had plans for a general-purpose sreanime.net domain (which would at various points sub-host websites such as Daizenshuu EX and Temple O' Trunks), though this site never truly materialized into whatever may have been planned.

Features

Image Gallery

Nearly 100 images were archived in the site's "Image Gallery", including scans from books, cover images of CDs, and direct screenshots from home video releases.

Audio Archives

In addition to sound clips from the television series and movies, the site featured an extensive (for the day) collection of over 30 MP3 files with songs from the Dragon Ball Z: Hit Song Collection series and various other CD releases. Three English versions of Dragon Ball Z songs as originally featured on Hironobu Kageyama's Mixture ~Kageyama Hironobu Best Album 3~ were included among this batch of files.

Movie Theater

Nearly 20 downloadable movie clips were provided in MPEG-1 format from the franchise's 10th anniversary film as well as later Dragon Ball Z theatrical films.

Animated Gifs

Over 30 animated GIF files showcased scenes from the Dragon Ball Z television series and its films, as well as Dragon Ball GT. The sub-section's header image was itself an animated GIF of Great Saiyaman sliding on-screen.

Info Archives

Though not necessarily known first and foremost for its general information archives, SREDBZ's Dragonball Homepage did include several theatrical film summaries and in-universe historical write-ups on the Saiyans and Boo.

Links

As with other fansites of the day, SREDBZ encouraged other website owners to submit their sites for consideration in the SREDBZ's Dragonball Homepage links section, which provided increased visibility and referral traffic.

Legacy

SREDBZ's Dragonball Homepage was well-regarded in fandom at the time, and its color scheme was heavily referenced and used in the later designs of Daizenshuu EX.
