#ssppp was an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channel circa 1999 hosted initially on terratron.com and later on fanfic.net as part of the EFnet IRC network. Many of the channel founders and initial regulars originally frequented Db_(IRC_Channel); #ssppp was, at the time, seen as a new/separate channel for the upcoming generation of fans to chat in real-time, with many actively maintaining popular Dragon Ball fan websites.

The channel was originally associated with The Super SaiYan Power Pride Page, a website/webring by "SuperSaiYan" (not to be confused with Ed Gorgen's Saiyajin's Pride). As the channel outgrew its original intent and association, existing members continued to frequent and independently maintain the channel.

Once in a long while, a group of people who may never have met get together. Something happens during this time. Friends are made, enemies are made. Knowledge is widened, ignorance is spread. But despite all this, one thing remains: we have a hell of a time. #ssppp has been around for what seems like eons, but during this time, we continued to and will continue to have a blast. We're an odd bunch, who talk about an odd number of things. General topics of discussion range from the legendary "DragonBall" and other anime to such up-to-date things as website design. Originally created as the official chat room for the "Super Saiyan Power Pride Page," the creator of which has moved on to a new server with a new group of people, fanfic's very own #ssppp has a rich history (OK... so maybe it's not so rich), with an amazing group of people behind it. From the early days of terratron to today, #ssppp will continue to be the on-line social gathering for an amazing group of people. If you're a regular to the channel, have fun learning a little bit more about the folks you chat with everyday. If you're a newbie and just want to fit in, check out a few of the other sections, as well. Believe it or not, we're generally a very accepting bunch.
