The Saikyō V-Jump Festa 2013 Official Guidebook is a small booklet given to all attendees of the Saikyō V-Jump Festa event in 2013, which was held 20 July 2013 in Tokyo and again 27 July 2013 in Osaka. This was the second and final year of the event being named "Saikyō V-Jump Festa"; after this point, it would be renamed as "Jump Victory Carnival."
The book contains information about the various companies and products on display during the event, news about said upcoming products, and various spin-off/supplemental manga chapters in support of these franchises.
Dragon Ball Product Information
The "Galaxy Mission 9" update for the Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game is highlighted on page 20.
Minor merchandise mentions (such as for other Dragon Ball Heroes material) and crossovers (such as the Miracle Battle Carddass series on pages 22 and 52) are littered throughout the book where applicable.
Dragon Ball Manga
As opposed to the prior year which featured a single Dragon Ball-related manga chapter, the 2013 book features bonus chapters from two independent series.
Dragon Ball SD
Naho Ooishi contributes a two-page chapter of Dragon Ball SD on pages 64-65. This chapter kicks off Ooishi's ongoing series of bonus chapters where Trunks finds himself going back to the "wrong" point in time.
Traveling to the past in order to deliver Goku's heart medicine, Trunks accidentally arrives the morning after the Great Ape rampage at Pilaf's castle. Oolong chastises him for thinking a kid like Goku could hold on to it for 18 years, Yamcha admires his "son's" good looks, and Bulma instantly falls head-over-heels. Trunks' hand begins to fade away….
Though other similar Dragon Ball SD bonus chapters have received reprints in the series' collected edition (including the 2012 comic before it and 2014 comic after it), this particular two-page special chapter has not been reprinted.
Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission
Toyotarō contributes a nine-page chapter of Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission on pages 111-119.
Beat rushes home from school to retrieve his Dragon Ball Heroes cards, then runs off to the Heroes Laboratory before his mother can tell him to do his homework. As Note also needles Beat about his homework habits, a mysterious, masked old man appears and challenges Beat to a match. This newcomer proves unexpectedly fierce, schooling Beat on the basics and remind him that he must learn from more than just the game itself. The old man's true identity is…?!
This chapter has never been reprinted.
