- Whis is quoted as having a line of dialogue that differs from the equivalent spoken in both trailers and the actual film. On page 9, his question to Goku about why he seeks more strength is quoted directly as "なぜこれ以上強くなろうとするのか" ("Why are you attempting to become even stronger?"), rather than "なぜこれ以上の強さを求めるのですか" (Why do you seek even more strength than you have now?).
- The spaceship Freeza uses following his resurrection is noted to have a new underside design, as well as to be able to make landfall without extending its legs, on page 14 in the "Miraculous Mechanisms of the Freeza Army!! Mechanical Guide!!" (フリーザ軍驚異のメカニズム!! メカニカルガイド!!!) subsection.
