If you wanna learn to draw Dragonball, in particular, then draw a lot of Dragonball. Keep drawing, and keep learning from them, so that you're always getting better. Basic drawing skills are always good to know, so try to learn perspective, shapes, angles, etc.
And, for character art, anatomy will ...

Re: Computer animated DB film?
I think it would be a great idea!...if its in capable hands. I don't mind it going off-story, either. I mean, I can enjoy the movies and specials just fine, and those change quite a bit. Just look at the Path to Power movie.

Definitely, Son Goku, particularly when he was just a runt.
But every other person has picked Goku, so I'm gonna go with a couple off the wall favorites.

Re: Fans know more than Toriyama ?
Well, actually we know Toriyama came up with Cell after his editor wasn't pleased with any of the prior androids.
True. But perhaps he drew a grasshopper or cicada type monster for a design that didn't bear any fruit. Then, afterwards, dug it up later, like it, revised it, and threw it in.

Re: Fans know more than Toriyama ?
Akira Toriyama has probably forgotten more than the combined fandom will ever know. Especially little things that never come to realization because of not being able to find a place for it. For instance, perhaps he had a whole backstory laid out for Yajirobe; he did seem to be Goku's gluttonous ...

It looks like an eye-catch, but I don't remember any like that. Perhaps its for a commercial. I have a DBZ VHS fansub from the Buu saga, and it has a commercial of a Dragonball desk on it. I'm sure there are tonnes more merchandise out there.

Re: Dragon Ball vs. Naruto?
I've liked all of those four big shonen series at some point; Dragonball, Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach. They all have their good points, but are all fairly different.

I don't remember, ahahaha.... It was probably a decade ago, at SD Comic Con or something. I'll take a picture and post it one of these days. There's another one right above it, and two more in my closet.LilKokuLink wrote:If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get it for?

Re: Did you watch DBZ without any spoilers?
I wish. Curtis Hoffman summaries spoiled everything for me. Of course, I did read it from the beginning (save for what was already shown in America), and it is kind of like reading it in novel form, so perhaps not so spoiled.
Also, soon after, I read the scanslations (from Suushinchuu, or Wuken, I ...

Re: Who has the most haxxed abilities
Aside from everything else that has been mentioned, Tenshinhan's Shin Kikoho is pretty overly powerful. Piccolo, who is many times stronger than Tenshinhan, could do nothing against Cell's second form with his most powerful blast. Tenshinhan, on the other hand, held him at bay, giving the others a ...

Re: What are some weird assumptions that you've made?
Back in the old EGM's ('93 or '94?), they had DBZ Super Butoden in the import sections. They mentioned something about Cell killing Goku, and I thought that was the last of Goku and hes just making a cameo in the game like future Trunks.

Re: The Saiya-jin warrior Radditz
I, for one, think Raditz is pretty badass. He is, afterall, the first villain to bring about the death of Goku (though the honor of killing him went to Piccolo). The only other person who was able to do that was Cell, through a similar means, self-sacrifice on Goku's part.

Oh yea, at one point in high school, back in '99, I knew the words to Hironobu Kageyama's English versions of CHA-LA HEAD CHA-LA, We Gotta Power, and Bokutachi Wa Tenshi Datta.
I see it coming down all over town and its chaos,
There's no time for me to be afraid.

I have a friend named Thien (pronounced T i en, even though I always call the DB character Tenshinhan).
Personally, I think Hachi would be cool, and I could nickname them Ha-chan. Also, if I wanted to tease them a little, I could pretend to sneeze, "HACHEEE". The Red Ribbon names would be cool, too ...

Very nice! Although I much prefer Naruto before the time skip (more dynamic, more adventure, less angsty), I still read it week to week. They both did awesome pieces! Although, does it mention why Kishimoto-san drew Naruto in the Dragonball universe for the 10th anniversary Naruto book? I was just ...
