If you can afford it, its quite easy to decide not to "sell out." But not every artist has a marketable name.

Do you honestly believe he did everything only for the money? The ones who do are working in Hollywood right now. That's why there are so many terrible movies these days.

That's quite unfair to the artists in hollywood. I'm sure a lot of the filmmakers who you consider sellouts wish they weren't ...

I haven't read the kid Spirou comics for a long time, but I don't remember there being much nudity in there, though there definitely was some very obvious sexual undertones... it was pretty hilarious though Definitely much better than the adult Spirou comics IMO

That's too bad because I want to see "It's over 9000!"scene, Nappa probably said "What the hell!" after he hard Goku's battle power.

About Giran... am I the only one who has the impression that Giran was actually friends with the villagers in the manga (I'm assuming because they look scared to see him getting beaten up)?
I think that's just you. In the manga the villagers call him a bully as he's being beaten by Tambourine ...

I would guess it depends on where you live. Generally custom fees are for more expensive things

Though if you live in Canada, beware when trying to cross the customs with manga...

I think acceptance of violence but not sexuality is pretty universal to varying degrees, maybe its just stronger in the US. Anyway the companies that publish the mangas in French (like Manga Kana, Ki-oon, Kurogawa, Glenat, etc.) never seem to have a need to censor anything ...

Unlike most filler, I thought the filler in this arc added to the arc overall. For instance, in the manga we only see Tamborine kill Giran before being sent to kill Goku while in the anime we see him travel around and kill more Budokai participants, which I think further emphasizes ...

You think they'll release newer versions of the DBZ manga later on in the future? Like for example uncensored and full colored pages.

I have all volumes both in French and Japanese, and even the Japanese manga that I have doesn't have colored pages

It took me a while to get into GT at first, mainly because I didn't really consider it to be part of DB since the manga was over and the whole thing was created by an animation studio. When I did get around to watching it, I could only find the first 4 episode on tape and I kept looking for things ...

I like to think of the appearance of Piccolo, and basically the 22nd championship, as the true beginning of DBZ, or at least because the Piccolo arc is more similar to DBZ than to the earlier DB stories.

Anime Labs seem to telling that DBZ is their creation.

They're hilarious. In some of the tapes they're calling out people who sell copies of their stuff and they're like "rot in hell, X! don't buy our stuff if you don't like it!". I posted one of those, there are other occurrences though
