A video game console is a modified computer system that is used in conjunction with a display device (a television, monitor, etc.) to display the video game. The term "video game console" is used to distinguish a machine designed specifically for consumers to buy and use solely for playing video games in the comfort of their own homes, as opposed to arcade machines, which are designed for businesses so that they can charge a fee for customers to play.
The first ''Dragon Ball'' video game produced for a home console system was ''Dragon Dai-Hikyō'', developed and published by Epoch in September 1986. All subsequent console video games for the franchise have been developed and/or published by [[Bandai Namco Entertainment|Bandai]] (currently "Bandai Namco Entertainment").

Handheld Video Games »

A video game console is a modified computer system that is used in conjunction with a display device (a television, monitor, etc.) to display the video game. The term "video game console" is used to distinguish a machine designed specifically for consumers to buy and use solely for playing video games in the comfort of their own homes, as opposed to arcade machines, which are designed for businesses so that they can charge a fee for customers to play.

The first Dragon Ball video game produced for a home console system was Dragon Dai-Hikyō, developed and published by Epoch in September 1986. All subsequent console video games for the franchise have been developed and/or published by Bandai (currently "Bandai Namco Entertainment").
