Sparking! NEO would be the second of threeSparking! titles developed by Spike, with Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! being released the previous year and Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! METEOR releasing in 2007.

Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! NEO released 06 October 2005 in Japan for the Sony PlayStation 2. The game was later released on the Nintendo Wii on 01 January 2007.
International Release
Sparking! NEO released in Europe on 03 November 2006 on the PlayStation 2 and 30 March 2007 for the Nintendo Wii under the title of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2. The game was later released in North America on 07 November 2006 on the PlayStation 2 and 19 November 2007 for the Nitnendo Wii, also under the title Budokai Tenkaichi 2.
