Dragon Ball Z: Rebirth is a VHS and DVD release compiling episodes 29-31 from FUNimation's original edited English dub of the Dragon Ball Z television series, first aired in 1997 via broadcast syndication. The home video was released on VHS in 1998, with a DVD version following in 1999.
Following the individual release, Rebirth was included as the second volume in a box set release called Dragon Ball Z: The Namek Saga, containing the last nine volumes of the Pioneer VHS and DVD releases.
Versions of these episodes from Rebirth were later collected in the "Dragon Ball Z: Rock the Dragon DVD Box Set Collector's Edition" set from FUNimation, released in August 2013 spanning nine DVDs,[1] collected the entire 53-episode run of the syndication broadcast, plus broadcast versions of the first three films. The commerical bumpers introduced in Episode 27 were also restored.
