Gitchen is a fictional, thus-far-unseen character in the Dragon Ball franchise. Gitchen serves as Jiren's master, murdered at some point prior to the Tournament of Power in the Dragon Ball Super series.

Name

Gitchen's name adds a diacritical mark to the キ (ki) in the katakana approximation of the English word "kitchen" (キッチン, kitchin) to form the name ギッチン (gitchin). While this spelling change and therefore name pun source have not been confirmed, an all-encompassing "kitchen" name would serve to bridge the various Pride Trooper names that otherwise all appear to be plays on kitchen appliances.

Production

Though Jiren's master is cited with similar surrounding circumstances in the Dragon Ball Super television series, he is thus far only cited explicitly by name in the manga.
