Shallot is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball universe. Shallot makes his debut, and thus far only, appearance as the main character in the mobile video game Dragon Ball Legends.
Biography
Shallot is a Saiyan with amnesia from a time other than Son Goku's.
Name
Shallot's name is the majority of syllables (シャロット, Sharotto) as-is from the Japanese approximation of the French word "échalote" (エシャロット, esharotto). This name source was previously used in the 2016 Nintendo 3DS video game Dragon Ball Fusions for an original Saiyan character named Shalot, as well as "Echalote," Vegeta's preferred name for his second child (ultimately named Bra).[1]
Production
Shallot was designed by Akira Toriyama; this design was included as part of the game's original announcement in March 2018.[2]
Notable Skills
A list or description of notable skills or techniques. Video game techniques should be separated from those used in the series proper.
Performance
Kenji Akabane plays Shallot in Dragon Ball Legends[3], having previously played minor roles in the Dragon Ball Kai and Dragon Ball Super television series. Alejandro Saab plays Shallot in the game's official English localization.[4]
Notes

Akira Toriyama's original design for Shallot was featured as an October 2018 entry in the Dragon Ball Official Site's The Nearly Complete Works of Akira Toriyama ongoing weekday column. The design notes that Shallot's blue armor is not metal, but is a leathery type of material.[5]
