"Form the Universe 7 Team! Who Are the Strongest Ten?!" is the eighty-third episode of the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 26 March 2017, receiving a ratings share of 5.5%. It was written by Yoshifumi Fukushima and directed by Hideki Hiroshima.
Synopsis
Goku's battle with Toppo has made him realize just how formidable their opponents will be! The Tournament of Power is just forty hours away. Once Goku and the others return to Earth, they immediately start scouting out members to enter the tournament, but Vegeta says he will not compete until Bulma gives birth. So Whis approaches Bulma and....?! With the start of the tournament closing in, Bulma and Vegeta cradle a new life, a life Goku and the others must protect. Can Goku gather the strongest members for this battle they must win?[1][2][3][4]
Summary
Kaiōshin teleports Goku and the others back to Capsule Corporation, where they find Chi-Chi has prepared a big feast in a hurry to celebrate the upcoming birth of Bulma's child. It looks like the birth will still take some time, so she asks Goku to help eat all this food before it gets cold. He's only too happy to do so!
Meanwhile, Vegeta is still waiting patiently for the birth, as Bulma uses his training room to do some exercises to help the birth go along smoothly. Bulma apologizes for holding up his training, and while he makes a big show of being annoyed, Goten can tell he's really looking forward to the birth. Vegeta sends Trunks and Goten off to get the cradle ready, while he starts thinking up a name for the child, something befitting of the Saiyan royal family.
Outside, Goku and co. chow down, but Kaiōshin thinks they should focus more on selecting the remaining Universe Seven team members. Goku asks how many mortal-inhabited planets there are in Universe Seven, and Kaiōshin says that with Planets Sadla, Vegeta, and (Old) Namek gone, that leaves a mere twenty-eight! Are there any with warriors strong enough to enter the tournament? Kaiōshin's not sure, since he's never investigated planets from a strength perspective before…which is apparently one reason their universe is ranked so low.
Whis says since they don't know about other planets, they should focus on Earth. First they've got the three who entered the exhibition match: Goku, Gohan, and Boo. Goku says Monaka should enter, but Beerus claims Monaka's health isn't so good right now. Oh well…
Then there's Piccolo and Kuririn. Gohan wonders if Kuririn's up to the task, but Goku insists he'll be fine, since they've still got time to train, and Kuririn has moves Gohan doesn't know about. On the flipside, Goku thinks Goten and Trunks aren't suited for the tournament: despite their power, they're too straightforward and lack experience, so they'd probably end up losing by ring-out.
In that case, Gohan suggests the Turtle Hermit: he has plenty of experience and some tricky moves. Now they've got seven! Next they consider 17 and 18. Kaiōshin wonders if androids are OK for the tournament, but Gohan and Goku think they'll be fine, since they're really just restructured humans. They'll just have to ask 18 where 17 is now.
That leaves one more! Kaiōshin goes off to check other planets for candidates, and asks Goku and co. not to eat too much in the meantime. Gohan wants to go get some senzu from Karin, but Whis assumes those will probably be against the rules. Beerus thinks they could try eating them in secret, but if they got caught they'd be doomed.
Vegeta is pacing around considering names for the baby ("Eschalot? Not bad…"), and Goku and Gohan explain to him about the tournament. There are all sorts of strong guys in the other universes. Why, Goku says he's not sure if he could've beat Universe Eleven's Toppo even with Super Saiyan Blue! And there'll be a total of eighty contestants fighting all at once!
But Vegeta still refuses. He won't budge until the baby's born! Beerus flat-out orders him to enter, but he refuses unless they convince Bulma first. With that, Whis promptly goes to Bulma and uses his staff and some magic words to have Bulma's child immediately materialize in her arms. There, now Vegeta can enter!
Everyone celebrates the baby's birth. Goku doesn't think the baby resembles Vegeta, but Bulma's mother disagrees, saying that she has Vegeta's forehead. Everyone takes turns passing the baby around, making Vegeta increasingly mad. Even Yamcha stops by to see the newborn!
Meanwhile, Trunks and Goten are still getting the cradle ready, though Trunks has trouble deciding exactly where in the room to place it. Gohan comes in and congratulates Trunks on becoming a big brother…though he forgot to ask if the new baby is a boy or girl. Goten hopes it's a boy so that Trunks can train with him, just as he and Gohan did. But if it's a girl, it'll be cute like Pan!
Trunks goes out to meet his new sibling, and finds out it's a girl. Bulma has Trunks hold the baby, and though he's initially reluctant, he soon takes to it. But Vegeta scolds him for holding the baby wrong. Apparently Vegeta is a real expert at this now.
Doctor Brief asks Bulma is she's thought of a name for the baby yet. If not, he has one in mind! Vegeta freaks out, since he's already picked a suitably Saiyan name for the child…but in fact Bulma herself has already named her: Bra! Though Vegeta is taken aback, everyone else likes this name. It's cute!
Now Goku and the others have one more thing to protect. They've got to win the tournament! Goku goes off to recruit Kuririn, and Gohan promises to follow him shortly. Yamcha has overheard about the tournament of power, and wonders if the winning team will get a wish granted like last time. If it's a ten-person team, Yamcha figures he's got a good chance of being asked to join. He'll just have to wait!
Vegeta continues to hold his baby. "Bra, huh? Hmph, not a bad name…"

Availability
This episode has been released in numerous countries and languages around the world in both streaming and physical formats. "Simulcast" streaming services (even Funimation) use the Toei Animation subtitles rather than the Funimation subtitles by Steven J. Simmons, while digital purchase platforms use the Simmons subtitles that are provided on the Funimation DVDs and Blu-rays.
Streaming debut dates only apply to the subtitled simulcast. Dubbed episodes were to Funimation's streaming service a few weeks after the dub broadcast, and to AnimeLab around the time of the Madman home video release. Simulcast dates reflect regional time zones. The United Kingdom was originally covered by the now-defunct Daisuki streaming service until Crunchyroll added the UK to their Dragon Ball Super coverage area on 30 May 2017.
