"Dragon Ball Z Kai The Final Chapters" is the only official release of the soundtrack for the Majin Boo arc of Dragon Ball Z Kai, called "The Final Chapters" for its international release. The soundtrack was released on 11 February 2015, just after the release of Dragon Ball Kai Episode 141 in Japan, but it was only made available digitally in France.

Overview

This release includes insert song "Let It Burn" by Masatoshi Ono, the international opening "Fight It Out!!" by the same, and the international ending song "Never Give Up!!!" by Junear, along with 30 of the 71 pieces of background music (BGM) composed by Norihito Sumitomo for Dragon Ball Z Kai: "The Final Chapters". The opening and endings used for the Japanese domestic release of the Majin Boo arc of Kai are not included.

Two of the 30 included BGM tracks were never used in Kai: "Goku" and "Mr. Satan". They were both used in Dragon Ball Super, however, and two unreleased arrangements of "Goku" were used in Kai and Super.

One of the BGM tracks, "Theme of Shenron", is an extended version of "Shenlong Comes Out" from the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Official Soundtrack.

The Japanese track titles for this soundtrack have never been officially released; they were already translated when posted on digital purchase platforms by Universal Music France. These translations do not follow Kanzenshuu spelling practices or even standard English grammar, and at least one track title is probably a mistranslation: track #14, "Gohan Vs Trunks". Gohan never fights Trunks in Dragon Ball; they do not even spar on-screen outside "Trunks: The Story". The track title is probably a misreading of 悟天ＶＳトランクス (Goten vs Trunks), but we cannot be sure without access to the original Japanese titles. The track is not used when Goten and Trunks fight at the 25th Tenka'ichi Budōkai in Dragon Ball Z Kai episodes 107 and 108, either.

All tracks are composed by Norihito Sumitomo except the vocal tracks indicated by the performer's name under the track title. All track spellings are exactly as given by Universal Music France. Sumitomo's works often employ modal shifting, so the musical keys provided are sometimes simplifications of the overall tonal setting. For more detail, see each track's individual page.
