Divine Beings

Cae (カイ)
Japanese VA: Taishi Murata
FUNimation VA: Aaron Roberts
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 78

Cae is a gentle Kaiōshin with a strong sense of justice who values life.[1][3] He is known for being kind-hearted and taking everything positively.[4] Cae's name likely comes from the 界 (kai) in "Kaiōshin" meaning "world".[3] Additionally, many Kaiōshin appear to have been named after deities, and Caenus (カイネウス Kaineusu) of Greek mythology is a possible source for this name, or one of any number of gods whose names begin with "Kai" or "Cae".[5]

Vermoud (ベルモッド)
Japanese VA: Masami Kikuchi
FUNimation VA: Markus Lloyd
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 78

Vermoud has a strong sense of justice and never forgives evil. He gets fired up about the Pride Troopers' efforts to punish evils in Universe 11.[1][6] Vermoud's name is likely derived from vermouth (ベルモット berumotto), an aromatized, fortified wine flavored with various botanicals. The character name adds a diacritic sign to the last syllable of the katakana used to write "vermouth" in Japanese, altering its pronunciation from "to" to "do". Vermoud's name pun follows the theme of Gods of Destruction and Angels being named after alcoholic beverages.[5]

Markarita (マルカリータ)
Japanese VA: Ai Sasaki
FUNimation VA: Jamie Marchi
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 78

Markarita always gives candid advice to her Kaiōshin and God of Destruction, who are insufficiently strict.[7] She is characterized by her use of the odd expression "desumasu".[8] Markarita's name is likely derived from "margarita" (マルガリータ marugariita), a cocktail consisting of tequila, triple sec, and lime or lemon juice, often served with salt or sugar on the rim of the glass. This name pun follows the theme of Gods of Destruction and Angels being named after alcoholic beverages.[5]

Warriors

Universe 11 is represented in the Tournament of Power by a ten-member team taken from the Pride Troopers. Their names all appear to be based on items found in a kitchen.[9]

Toppo (トッポ)
Japanese VA: Kenji Nomura
FUNimation VA: Ray Hurd
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 78

Toppo is the leader of the hero team "Pride Troopers", the guardians of peace in Universe 11. A hot-blooded and gigantic warrior of Justice, he is so strong that he has even been scouted as a candidate for the next God of Destruction of his universe.[10] Toppo's name is likely an anagram of the katakana transliteration of "pot" (ポット potto).

Jiren (ジレン)
Japanese VA: Eiji Hanawa
FUNimation VA: Patrick Seitz
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 30 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 85

Jiren is Universe 11's strongest warrior. Although he is silent and cool, he boasts fearsome strength said to reach the realm of a God of Destruction.[4] Jiren's name is likely an anagram of the katakana transliteration of "range" (レンジ renji), used specifically to refer to a stovetop.

Dyspo (ディスポ)
Japanese VA: Bin Shimada
FUNimation VA: Christopher Dontrell Piper
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 30 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 85

Dyspo is the raid-commanding officer of the Pride Troopers. A super-fast warrior, he is able to instantaneously increase his movement speed thousands-fold.[4] Dyspo's name is likely derived from the katakana rendering of "disposal" (ディスポーザー disupōzā), used specifically to refer to a food disposal system attached to the drain of a kitchen sink.

Vuon (ブーオン)
Japanese VA: Takeshi Kusao
FUNimation VA: Charlie Campbell
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 30 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 96

Vuon is a warrior resembling a dinosaur. In the Tournament of Power, he attempted to restrain the berserk Kale, but was launched out of the ring.[4][11] Vuon's name is likely an anagram of the katakana transliteration of "oven" (オーブン ōbun). The vowel elongation (ー) follows the ブ bu syllable rather than the オ o syllable.

Kunsi (クンシー)
Japanese VA: Masakazu Morita
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 30 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 96

Kunsi generates tough threads of ki from both hands which paralyze his opponent. In the Tournament of Power, he is blown out of the ring by Hit's Time Skip.[4][12] Kunsi's name is likely an anagram of the Japanese transliteration of "sink" (シンク shinku).

Tupper (タッパー)
Japanese VA: Volcano Ōta
FUNimation VA: J. Michael Tatum
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 30 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 96

Tupper is capable of hardening his body and freely adjusting his body weight. In the Tournament of Power, he was cornered by No. 18 at the edge of the martial arts stage, and dropped out by his own weight together with the crumbling floor.[4][13] Tupper's name (タッパー tappā) is the standard way to refer to Tupperware in Japanese.[14]

Zoire (ゾイレー)
Japanese VA: Yukiko Morishita
FUNimation VA: Aaron Dismuke
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 30 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 96

Zoire can turn into a tornado by rapidly rotating his tiny body. In the Tournament of Power, he was shot off the ring by Caulifla and Kale's energy wave.[4][13] Zoire's name might be derived from 冷蔵 (れいぞう reizō), the Japanese word for "refrigeration".

Cocotte (ココット)
Japanese VA: Yuriko Yamaguchi
FUNimation VA: Marissa Lenti
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 96

Cocotte is the sole female of the Pride Troopers. She uses the 'Cocotte Zone' technique, which imprisons her opponents in another dimension. In the Tournament of Power, she was thrown out of the ring by No. 18.[4] Cocotte's name is likely taken from the French word cocotte, a type of casserole dish, or a "Dutch oven".

Kettle (ケットル)
Japanese VA: Yūsuke Numata
FUNimation VA: Josh Martin
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 96

Kettle is a warrior who manipulates points of light. He showers opponents with a rapid-fire attack in which countless points of light rain down from the sky. He was shot off the ring by Caulifla and Kale's energy wave.[4] Kettle's name is a katakana transliteration of the English word "kettle" (ケットル/kettoru), though ケトル ketoru is a more common transliteration.

Casserale (カーセラル)
Japanese VA: Unshō Ishizuka
FUNimation VA: Tyson Rinehart
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 30 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 85

Casserale is a brave warrior known as the "General" with a lengthy military service. He can turn his energy into a weapon by concentrating it in both hands. In the Tournament of Power, he was shot off the ring by Caulifla and Kale's energy wave.[4] Casserale's name is likely derived from the katakana rendering of "casserole" (キャセロール kyaserōru), used to refer to a casserole dish.
