Gowasu (ゴワス)
Japanese VA: Tetsuo Gotō
FUNimation VA: Garrett Schenck
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 16 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 53

Gowasu is an elderly Kaiōshin. He takes the Northern Kaiō of Universe 10, Zamasu, as an apprentice, but Zamasu betrays him, killing him and stealing a Time Ring to carry out his evil plans. "Gowasu" (ごわす) is an archaic Japanese verb meaning "to be", often used to show gratitude, respect, and humbleness toward another speaker. As Gowasu was introduced prior to the Tournament of Power and shares a similar naming scheme as Zamasu, his name does not follow suit with the other Kaiōshin names.[3]

Rumoosh (ラムーシ)
Japanese VA: Yasuhiko Kawazu
FUNimation VA: Oliver Tull
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 78

Rumoosh is a relatively lazy God of Destruction who doesn't like to destroy planets because he finds it to be too much trouble. He likes people who fawn over him for being a God of Destruction.[1] Rumoosh is likely derived from "rum" (ラム酒/ramushu), a distilled alcoholic beverage made from sugarcane byproducts. This pun follows the theme of Gods of Destruction and Angels being named after alcoholic beverages.[3]

Kusu (クス)
Japanese VA: Hiromi Kon'no
FUNimation VA: Brittney Karbowski
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 78

Kusu is the oldest child of the Great Priest.[4] An innocent angel who looks like a young girl despite her age, she is enchanted by the sharp muscular condition of the representative warriors for Universe 10.[5] She is always advising Rumoosh and Gowasu on the difference between good and evil, but clashes between good and evil get her blood racing despite herself.[1] Kusu's name is likely derived from Kūsu (くうす/Kūsu). When Awamori, a distilled beverage unique to Okinawa, is aged for three years or more, it is called kūsu (古酒; "old liquor"), often written in katakana (クース) or in kanji with the appropriate furigana. This pronunciation is unique to Awamori and Okinawa; elsewhere in Japan, the word 古酒 is pronounced koshu and refers to aged sake. This name pun follows the theme of Gods of Destruction and Angels being named after alcoholic beverages.[3]

Warriors

Kusu leads the Universe 10 team in a dance to foster unity before the Tournament of Power.[6]

The warriors of Universe 10 are named after elements of the periodic table.[7]

Murisam (ムリサーム)
Japanese VA: Makoto Naruse
FUNimation VA: Alex Mai
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 90

Zircor (ジルコル)
Japanese VA: Mitsuo Iwata
FUNimation VA: Chris Niosi
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 90

Zircor is Universe 10's yoga warrior. In the Tournament of Power, he is dropped out by Universe 2's Jimizu.[5][12] Zircor name is likely derived from the element Zirconium (ジルコニウム), a transition metal with the atomic number 40.

FUNimation VA: Randy Pearlman
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 90

Obni excels in ki control, toying with his opponent by creating a gap between his internal ki and his body movements. Although he puts up a good fight against his opponent Gohan in the Tournament of Power, he is blown out by a Kamehameha.[5][12] Obni's name is likely derived from the element Niobium (ニオビウム), a transition metal with the atomic number 41.

Dium (ジウム)
Japanese VA: Naoki Tatsuta

Dium is able to fly freely through the sky like a bird. In the Tournament of Power, he is thrown off-balance and knocked out of the ring, his wings cut by Kuririn's Kienzan.[5][14] Dium's name is likely derived from the -dium suffix used for various chemical elements.

Notes

  1. Rubalt's Toei website bio calls Piccolo's technique 連続閃光弾 or "Rapid-fire Flash Bullets", but it is the same technique Piccolo used against No. 17 in Dragon Ball Z Episode 148 (Dragon Ball Chapter 366). This is called 拡散誘導気功波 or "Scattered and Guided Kikōha" in the "Special Attack Dictionary" found in the Daizenshuu and Chouzenshuu guidebooks.
