Mulithim is a fictional character in the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super and its companion manga series written by Toyotarō. Mulithim makes his debut in Dragon Ball Super Episode 90, broadcast on 14 May 2017 on Fuji TV, as a member of the Universe 10 team.

Biography

Mulithim is a power fighter who has regular intakes of protein and a muscular body that is thoroughly trained. In the Tournament of Power, he was overwhelmed by Freeza and dropped out.

Mulithim is recruited for the Tournament of Power by Rumoosh, the God of Destruction of Universe 10. As the leader of the team, Mulithim introduces the otherwise-hooded members to his Kaiōshin Gowasu, demonstrating their dedication to a regular protein intake in order to build strength. The Angel Kusu leads the team in a dance to foster team unity, while Gowasu records. He plans to upload it as a video entitled "Us Dancing" on GodTube, and hopes it will get a lot of views.

The team is next seen when they are transported to the World of Void by the Great Priest.

After the tournament begins, Goku is fighting Ganos when he sees Toppo. He attempts to break away from Ganos to fight Toppo, but Mulithim attacks Toppo instead.

Mulithim is next seen observing Kale as she fights Goku in her berserker form.

Later, Freeza uses Mulithim for sport, holding him up by the head. Vegeta objects, claiming Mulithim was his target, but Freeza says he got there first, and proceeds to knock Mulithim out of the arena with his tail.

On the sidelines, Mulithim and the other eliminated male members of the Universe 10 team are enthused by the transformations of Universe 2's Maiden Squadron, while Rylibeu seems unimpressed.

After the elimination of Obni, Universe 10 is erased. When No. 17 uses the Super Dragon Balls to restore all of the destroyed universes, Mulithim is seen with his teammates and Gowasu in the Kaiōshin realm of Universe 10.

Name

Mulithim's name is likely derived from the element Lithium (リチウム), an alkali metal with the atomic number 3. This pun follows the theme of Universe 10 warriors being named after elements of the periodic table.

The spelling "Murichim" originated with the subtitles provided by Toei Animation to simulcast platforms (including FUNimation's own streaming service). VIZ Media also adopted this spelling for their manga adaptation. Funimation originally spelled the character's name "Mulithim"; he was credited as such in the broadcast of Dragon Ball Super Episode 90; however it was changed to "Murichim" in the credits for Episode 97. The spelling was also changed in the credits for Episode 90 on FUNimation home video, and this change was reflected in their in-house Steven Simmons subtitles which debuted on the FUNimation digital purchase offerings in advance of the Blu-ray and DVD releases. The change was likely a result of Toei's push for uniformity, as evidenced by a notice to that effect on FUNimation's home release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

In Dragon Ball Super Episode 90, the Universe 10 team appears hooded, with the exception of Mulithim. They remain hooded in Episode 91, suggesting that only Mulithim's design had been finalized when animation began on these episodes.

Performance

Mulithim is voiced by Keiji Hirai, who voiced several minor roles in Dragon Ball Kai and Dragon Ball Super including Killa. In the FUNimation dub, Mulithim is voiced by Reagan Murdock, who also voices Giin, the God of Destruction of Universe 12.
