Doctor Arinsu is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball universe, introduced in the Dragon Ball Daima television series. Doctor Arinsu is first seen in Dragon Ball Daima episode 1, which debuted 11 October 2024 on Fuji TV.

Biography

A Glind and the elder sibling of Shin and Degesu, Doctor Arinsu is an ambitious scientist who resides in the Demon Realm. When the Great Demon King Abra restricts the use of Warp-sama, most of the remaining Glind in the Demon Realm revolt and escape to the outside world, but Arinsu remains because she thinks the Demon Realm is more exciting.

Arinsu's curiosity is piqued when Abra's successor Dabra goes to the outside world, having been recruited by the Dark Mage Bobbidi. She keeps an eye on Dabra and sees that he gets killed by Majin Boo, whom Arinsu collects a piece of. She goes to congratulate the new Great Demon King, Gomah, and notices Degesu is with him as his servant. Gomah says Dabra's death is unfortunate for Arinsu; Dabra gave her all the research funding she wanted, but can no longer do so. Arinsu expects Gomah to continue to fund her research, saying he ought to be careful of the people who defeated Majin Boo. If they were to invade the Demon Realm, things could get bad. Degesu says there is no reason for them to invade, but the idea still gnaws at Gomah. He comes up with a plan to turn Boo's enemies into children, which Arinsu approves of. Gomah uses the Dragon Balls of Earth to accomplish this, and kidnaps Dende, the one in charge of Earth's Dragon Balls. Dende's allies go to the Demon Realm to try and rescue him, accompanied by Glorio, who secretly works for Arinsu.

After Glorio lets Arinsu know his group obtained the Third Demon World's Dragon Ball, Arinsu brings the piece of Majin Boo she collected to the Great Witch Marba, and has her create a new majin. Marba expects a great reward, and Arinsu tentatively agrees, but only if she ends up becoming Great Demon King. Marba creates Majin Koo, and Arinsu immediately wants him to go win the First Demon World's Dragon Ball from Tamagami Number One. Koo cannot beat the Tamagami, though, so Arinsu has Marba create another fighter, called Majin Doo. This one starts fighting Tamagami Number One, but suddenly stops and declares he wants chocolate. Arinsu says this is not the time for it, but Doo throws a tantrum and Koo runs off to get chocolate. When Doo is satisfied, he keeps fighting the Tamagami until it gives up. Its next challenge is mental arithmetic, which Doo is no good at, but Koo mumbles the correct answer to him. Doo delivers the Tamagami's Dragon Ball to Arinsu. Glorio tells Arinsu his group has two Dragon Balls now, which means Arinsu can now get her hands on all three.

Arinsu, with Koo and Doo in tow, meets Glorio and the people from Earth at the location of the First Demon World's Tamagami. Shin is with them, turned into a child, and Arinsu figures they are after the Dragon Balls to wish themselves back to normal. She wants to use the wish for herself, though, to become the Great Demon King. She says she wants an even more terrifying Demon Realm that the outside world bows down to. Son Goku and Majin Doo start fighting to decide who will get the Dragon Balls, when Gomah shows up, larger than before. He has the Evil Third Eye in his forehead now, which has increased his power tremendously. As everyone starts fighting him, Arinsu tells Koo and Doo to join in too. She tells Glorio to bring her the other two Dragon Balls, so she can wish to become the new Great Demon King with the power to defeat Gomah. Glorio summons the dragon and makes a wish, but not the one Arinsu asked for; all those who were turned into children turn back to normal. Arinsu asks Glorio if he has forgotten her kindness in rescuing him from the Third Demon World, and fires him.

Those fighting Gomah all get exhausted, while he does not, thanks to the Evil Third Eye. Arinsu has Koo bring her the Book of Magic Items, in which she reads that the Evil Third Eye can be removed if the wearer is hit in the back of the head three times. Son Goku and Piccolo carry out a strategy to try and achieve this, but fail. During the chaos, Majin Koo unexpectedly finds himself hurtling towards the back of Gomah's head, and hits him three times. The Evil Third Eye pops out, and Glorio stomps on it. Arinsu and Marba trap Gomah and Degesu inside a special urn for 99 years as punishment, and everyone wonders who the new Great Demon King should be. Arinsu says her ambitions have not changed, but does not want to be Great Demon King without any additional magic power from the Dragon Balls, because then she will just be overthrown. Having been the one to defeat the last Great Demon King, Majin Koo is first in line to succeed him, and so he does. He makes Arinsu his Vice Demon King, and asks her to help him make the Demon Realm a scary-yet-good place to live.
