Vermoud's planet is the home of Vermoud, the God of Destruction of Universe 11, and his guide angel, Markarita. The planet first appears in Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28, premiering in the November 2017 issue of Shueisha's V-Jump, with a sale date of 21 September 2017. The planet never appears in the Dragon Ball Super anime.
Overview
Vermoud's planet is set up like a circus tent, befitting Vermoud's appearance as a clown. The interior is decorated with streaming banners and other circus accoutrements, and Vermoud holds court on a shaggy sofa.
In Dragon Ball Super chapter 28, Vermoud is entertaining a number of jester women when his angel Markarita receives a summons from the Great Priest. She attempts to inform Vermoud, and one of the jester women becomes angry at the interruption, pulling a knife on Markarita. Vermoud promptly destroys her, telling Markarita that the woman's planet was slated to be destroyed anyway. The jester women are never seen again.[1]
After the Zen Exhibition Match, all of the Universe 11 gods and Toppo gather on Vermoud's planet. Vermoud asks Toppo to gather ten warriors for the Tournament of Power from the Pride Troopers, and tells him to make sure Jiren comes. Toppo departs the planet in his ship, and Cae is concerned about leaving everything up to the Pride Troopers. Out of an excess of caution, Vermoud decides not to rely on Toppo after all. The gods depart Vermoud's planet to meet the Pride Troopers on Planet Bath.[2]
Notes
- Toyotarō likely modeled Vermoud's planet on the pyramidal design of Beerus' planet.
- In the Viz Media English adaptation of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28, Vermoud says, "I was going to destroy this planet anyway", implying that his planet belonged to the jester women. The original line only says that she was a resident of a planet that was already slated to be destroyed. (もともと破壊する予定の星の住人だ)
- The planet is never named in Japanese. The location narration only says "Universe 11".[2]
