Planet Earth (Universe 6) is a mirror of Planet Earth in Universe 7. The planet had been destroyed by war,[1] but it was revitalized by Beerus's wish on the Super Dragon Balls after Universe 7 won the God of Destruction Invitational Tournament.[2] The planet is never depicted in Toyotarō's Dragon Ball Super manga; it is only mentioned.
Overview
Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7, is visited by his brother Champa, who holds the same position in Universe 6. They are not permitted to fight each other as it would destroy both their universes, so Champa challenges Beerus to one of their traditional food battles. Champa has brought boiled eggs from a newly discovered "dondon bird" in his universe, and his guide angel Vados vouches for their nutritional value. Vegeta thinks they just taste like ordinary boiled eggs. Beerus has no comment, but he tells Whis to bring out the cup ramen. Champa and Vados are astounded at the taste, and Champa hungrily drinks every drop of the soup.
Beerus tells Champa that this delicacy is from Universe 7's Planet Earth, so Champa orders Vados to find Earth in their universe. Her brother Whis assists her, and they discover that the humans on Earth in Universe 6 have warred themselves into extinction, leaving the planet itself uninhabitable. Beerus is amused at this turn of events, but then Champa gets an idea: they should hold a tournament between warriors from their universes. If Champa wins, they will swap Earths; if Beerus wins, he can have the Super Dragon Balls that Champa has been gathering; there is only one left to locate. These Super Dragon Balls are more powerful than ordinary Namekian Dragon Balls; they can grant any wish at all, with none of the Namekian limitations.[3]
The Gods of Destruction Selection Tournament is held on the Nameless Planet, which turns out to be the missing Super Dragon Ball. Universe 7 wins, much to Champa's dismay. As he and Vados return to Universe 6 in their Cube, Vados gets an alert on her staff. Universe 6's Earth has been restored! Humanity has returned, and their civilization is similar to Universe 7's Earth, so the delicious foods of Earth are theirs to enjoy. Vados suggests that maybe Beerus used his wish for Champa's benefit, and just then, the One-Star Super Dragon Ball flies past their Cube, confirming her theory. Champa is pleased and annoyed at the same time; now he owes Beerus a favor.[4]
Some time later, Champa devises another type of contest to indulge the brotherly rivalry: a baseball game! He offers to play in Beerus's territory, on Universe 7's Earth. Champa tells Vados that his real intent is to steal the delicious cuisine in Beerus's universe; neither of them mentions that they have their own planet Earth, now.[5]
