The Final Chapters

"The Final Chapters" is the international version of the Majin Boo arc; English-language premiere dates are given, but the arc in this form debuted in Korea^[1] beginning some time after its Japanese debut on 06 April 2014^[2] on ANIONE, TV, and ANIBOX,^[3] and before its broadcast debut in France beginning on 01 September 2014 on J-One.^[4]

The Majin Boo arc was not originally intended to be broadcast in Japan, but each episode was recorded in full by the Japanese cast for subtitled releases in other languages. The arc was further abridged for domestic release on FujiTV, reducing the episode count by 8, from 167 to 159. The corresponding episodes with the same titles from 99-112 (99-106) have substantial differences. The corresponding episodes from 114-164 (107-157) with the same titles are exactly the same aside from the different opening and ending themes. Episode 165 of "The Final Chapters" was cut entirely from the domestic version.

Japanese title cards for episodes 101-103, 106, 108, 111, 113, and 165 have never been released; the Japanese titles have been transcribed from each episode's Japanese audio track. The English titles are given as translated by Steven J. Simmons for the Funimation subtitles. These sometimes differ slightly from the Funimation title cards.
