"Videl Battered - Gohan's Fury Reaches Its Limit!!" is the one hundred and twelfth episode of Dragon Ball Z Kai (the international version of the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Kai) and the fourteenth episode of "The Final Chapters", the international branding for the series' Majin Boo arc. The episode debuted in the United States on Cartoon Network‘s Toonami on 08 April 2017.

Synopsis

Videl continues to attack Spopovitch and she does not understand why he is not taking any injury. Taking advantage of her confusion, he knocks her to the ground and beats her while she is down. The crowd is horrified; Erasa is worried Spopovitch will disgifure Videl's face, but Shapner thinks she would be lucky to get off that easily at this point. Videl is determined to keep fighting, going on the offensive again, but Spopovitch plays with her like a doll. He tosses her toward the edge of the ring, and the Tenka'ichi Budōkai announcer thinks this might be a defeat by ringout. Videl thinks that she does not have enough energy left to fly and stop herself, but Spopovitch grabs her by the leg and throws her back in the ring. The announcer asks what he could be thinking; Gohan is distressed, and Kuririn thinks that Spopovitch is just playing with her now. On the sidelines, Yamu seems displeased.

The announcer notes that Videl is not getting up; he says he is reluctant but he will begin the count. Gohan silently hopes that this will be the end of the fight; he thinks she is better off unconscious. Spopovitch stalks toward Videl and the spectators shout for him to stop, and for Videl to get up. Gohan shouts at her and tries to convince her to stay down, but she manages to stand, much to the delight of the audience and the announcer, who compliments her mettle. Gohan however is not happy about this. Videl charges Spopovitch again, and Gohan shouts at her that Spopovitch is not normal; attacking him is crazy and she should give up. Spopovitch easily counters her again; he knocks her several feet away and catches her before she falls; he bends her backwards over his knee, punching her face repeatedly. The announcer is appalled and Gohan is beginning to get angry. He begs Videl again to give up. Just then, Shin and Kibito approach from behind to watch.

In his dressing room, Mister Satan is posing and shadowboxing in front of a mirror; he remembers that his first opponent is a woman; he thinks that too bold a victory pose will come off as tactless; he does not want to kiss up to the spectators too much. He thinks that having a female opponent is a big inconvenience. Just then, a monk knocks and enters, informing him that Videl is getting beaten badly by her opponent; Satan is sure that the monk meant to say that it was the other way around, but the monk says he meant what he said. Satan chastises him for interrupting him, and to let him know the final outcome, which he is sure will be Videl's victory.

The Satan City police are returning to the arena and they believe they have probably missed her match, but they are sure she will last until the final round, giving them plenty of chances to see her fight. One of their comrades in the arena rushes out to tell them that Videl is getting badly beaten; they are incredulous, but the comrade urges them to run in and cheer for her.

Spopovitch continues to beat Videl without mercy; he drops her to the ground and then picks her up by her head, punching her in the gut repeatedly as she spits blood. The audience is horrified, thinking she will surely die. Spopovitch finally punches Videl to the edge of the ring again, but she does not fall out. Gohan shouts at her, telling her to give up; she has fought hard enough. She refuses, though, getting up, and the announcer tells her that he agrees with Great Saiyaman; he asks if she is sure she should not concede, but she says she will never give up. Gohan shouts at her, asking her why she is being so stubborn; she will die if she goes on; her opponent is not the type to go easy on a woman.

Videl assumes a fighting stance against her opponent, but he grabs her by the head again, bashing her face with his knee. Gohan is distressed; Kuririn cannot believe Spopovitch is so cruel. Spopovitch drops her to the ground again; meanwhile Gohan's anger is growing as he watches; Goku tells him to calm down; she will not die. Spopovitch approaches Videl who is lying on the ground, and he begins to crush her head with his foot. Erasa calls out to her and Shapner curses Spopovitch; the police threaten to arrest Spopovitch if he continues. The announcer is disgusted and can hardly watch anymore; he believes Spopovitch is not acting like a human at all. As Videl screams, Chi-Chi asks if there isn't anything that can be done; she does not want Videl to die before she can marry Gohan.

Gohan's power continues to rise, and Goku again tries to get him to calm down. Videl is crying, but she does not want to lose. Gohan transforms into a Super Saiyan, his cape flying off; he says he cannot take it anymore. As he powers up, Shin smiles and laughs, looking at Kibito who smiles in return. Kuririn tries to calm Gohan down, but he is angry and will not listen. Videl continues to scream as Spopovitch crushes her head; Gohan flies toward the arena, shouting at Spopovitch to stop, but then Yamu, who has been watching from the sidelines, intervenes and tells Spopovitch to stop playing around; this sort of thing is not what they are here for. He orders Spopovitch to end the match immediately, so Spopovitch kicks Videl out of the ring. The announcer declares Spopovitch the winner; Gohan powers down and rushes to Videl's side. The announcer asks if he should call for a stretcher. Gohan says he will carry her, but as Spopovitch walks away, Gohan promises to make him pay for this. Spopovitch smiles and laughs as he and Yamu fly away.

Goku asks Kuririn if anyone has senzu, but Kuririn says they only came for fun and did not think to bring any. Goku says he will go to Karin to get some and teleports away. Gohan returns carrying Videl, and Kuririn tells him that Goku went to get some senzu, so he can relax. Gohan is relieved to hear this news.

Mister Satan is shocked when he is informed that Videl lost and is seriously injured; he says this is impossible since she is the strongest in the world next to himself. He believes that she must have gotten so caught up in her technique that she dropped her guard. He rushes to the room where she is being treated; Gohan tells him that her life is not in danger. Satan demands to know who he is and if he is the one who put Videl in this state, but the monks assure Satan that it was not him; he kindly carried her there for treatment. Satan then remembers that Spopovitch was her opponent; he tells Gohan that he did good, and he will give him an autograph later, but for now he should leave since he is in the way. Gohan goes to leave, and Videl calls out to him; she asks him to clobber Spopovitch for her. He promises he will; after he wins his first match, he will meet Spopovitch in the second round. Satan looks back and forth between Gohan and Videl; after Gohan closes the door, Satan asks Videl what she is talking about; clearly Gohan is not enough to handle Spopovitch; he will take care of that himself. He tells Videl to get her rest and she smiles. Satan looks at her for some time, blinking, then he comes to the realization that Gohan might be her boyfriend. Satan says he will not allow it; Gohan looks weak and he has always told her that she cannot date anyone unless they are stronger than he is. The monk asks Satan to be quiet. (Z 217)

Gohan is pacing in the contestant area, waiting for Goku to return with senzu; he looks around and wonders why Goku is taking so long; Kuririn says he should be back immediately, but maybe Karin does not have any senzu. Gohan tells him not to say things like that; he loses patience and decides to go back and check on Videl again; he tells Kuririn to send Goku there when he arrives. Kuririn notes that Gohan's concern does not seem merely friendly, and Gohan blushes. Videl is in pain but she repeats to herself in delirium that she will not give up. Satan is still incredulous that Spopovitch was able to beat Videl so soundly. He has a flashback to the previous tournament where he fought Spopovitch in the first round; Satan told Spopovitch that he must have been acting badly in real life to have the bad karma of facing Satan in the first round. Satan defeated him easily, knocking him out of the ring. Satan tells Videl that she must have taken Spopovitch too lightly; he reminds her of his lessons about overconfidence. He then wonders if her poor performance has something to do with her new boyfriend, which he absolutely will not allow. Videl calls out for Gohan from her delirious state. Satan asks the monk whether she is really alright; the monk tries to reassure him, but Satan threatens to hold him responsible if anything happens to her.

Outside, reporters are banging on the door, demanding to know whether Videl is okay. They stop banging and listen at the door, falling when Satan suddenly opens it. They ask him for a report on Videl; Satan declares that she is the daughter of the world champion, himself, and that she has trained harder than anyone, so there is nothing to worry about. He tells them he is not giving any more autographs today. They ask him for a comment on Spopovitch; he angrily tells them that he will make sure Spopovitch is repaid, taking their microphones and smashing them before retreating inside. They beg him to answer more questions. Gohan looks on from an enclave, thinking that with all the press there, it does not look like he will be able to get in.

In the arena, Chi-Chi looks at the bracket and sees that Gohan will be next; Bulma says his opponent is Kibito. Chi-Chi says whether his name is Kibito or Shibito (死人: Japanese word for "dead body"), Gohan will win. Bulma agrees. Chi-Chi says Goku is sure to do well also; she will be getting a lot of prize money. Chi-Chi stands up to shout encouragement to Gohan, but Bulma reminds her that his identity is supposed to be a secret; Chi-Chi is embarrassed and cannot believe she forgot.

In the contestant area, Yamu tells Spopovitch that the guys they are looking for could be in the next match, and to keep an eye out; Spopovitch says that as long as they have this energy-reading meter, they will know immediately. Yamu says he would like to be done quickly. Shin tells Kibito to pay attention out there. Gohan asks if Goku is still gone; Kuririn says he is, and wonders what he could be doing. (Z 218)

At Karin's tower, Karin gives Goku all of his senzu. Goku thanks him. Karin tells Goku to be on his guard; he has a bad feeling. Goku says he does too. (Z 217)
