"Ferocity of the Saiyan! God and Piccolo Both Die!" is the twenty-eighth episode of the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Z. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 29 November 1989, receiving a ratings share of 24.0%. It was written by Hiroshi Toda and directed by Minoru Okazaki.
Synopsis
Piccolo passes away after admitting to Gohan he appreciated the time they had spent together. And once Piccolo dies, God vanishes as well. Gohan's rage takes over, and he attacks Nappa but succeeds in nothing but draining his own power. Nappa prepares to finish off Gohan, but Goku arrives at the last moment to save him. Upon learning of his friends' deaths, Goku's anger begins to rise, but Gohan and Kuririn remain surprised at how calm and sure of himself Goku is. Goku declares he will fight Nappa alone. The others doubt Goku's abilities, but Goku easily dodges Nappa's attacks.
