Synopsis
Moving on from the farce of Satan versus Cell, Goku finally enters the ring. Not admitting his defeat, Satan talks big, but is amazed as Goku and Cell battle and clash at super speed. While fighting in the arena and in the air, Goku and Cell both retain their composure. Unable to see the two since they're moving too fast, Satan insists that this must be a trick. The fight escalates, and as Cell says that that's enough for warming up exercises, Goku responds by unleashing his full power!!
Summary
Part A
Son Goku steps into the Cell Games Arena and walks slowly over to Cell. The announcer is in despair that the world's champion, Mister Satan, has been defeated. Cell is also disappointed that Goku is going first as he hoped to save the best battle for last. Goku replies by asking Cell if he can really use all of their techniques. Cell responds in the affirmative. The two prepare their stances and are ready to battle.
Just then, Mister Satan returns from where he was sent flying, bleeding and limping. He speaks to the reporter, telling him that he only lost his footing. The reporter doesn't buy it for a moment, saying that it looked like Satan was sent flying out of the ring. Pizza interrupts to explain that since Mister Satan is so powerful, even losing his footing can look like that. Karoni and Pirozhki, also recovered from their battles against Cell, agree. Satan says that once he catches his breath, he will challenge Cell again. The reporter dutifully reports to the world that Satan will fight again.[note 1] At Goku's home and at Kame House, Goku's friends and family watch the fight about to begin.
Finally, Goku attacks with a barrage of punches and kicks. He and Cell fight without ki attacks, only a physical test of attacks, blocks, and dodges. They both manage to land good hits on the other before they withdraw momentarily and smile. Both fighters are enjoying this! Satan and the rest of his crew stand open-jawed as the battle unfolds in front of them. Mister Satan regains his composure and says that Goku isn't as good as he looks and is probably at his limit already. Goku disappears for a moment, but Cell calmly waits and blocks where he knows the punch will be coming from. Goku uses a projection where he appears to attack but the real attack comes a second later, knocking Cell off balance and nearly out of the ring. Goku follows with a kick that finishes the job, but Cell can fly and has no problem avoiding the ring-out. Cell taunts Goku saying that he only wanted to give him the feeling of victory, but Goku wasn't fooled by the ruse. Cell and Goku both admit that they have not really been trying up to this point and agree to show off more of their power to each other.
Part B
Gok and Cell resume fighting but now their movements are so fast that Satan and his followers are unable to follow. Satan claims that they are just using camouflage and hiding on the floor. Mister Satan demonstrates his own power of disguise by quickly slinking away from the reporter and hiding beneath a cloth that looks like a rock. The reporter is completely fooled. Pizza, Karoni, and Pirozhki are embarrassed by the display, but Kuririn finds it funny. Eventually Goku and Cell reappear with Cell going on the offensive. Even Karoni and Pirozhki can feel the ki radiating off of Cell now, but they do not know what it is. Satan tells them that all martial arts is just tricks. Cell appears to be close to pushing Goku out of the ring, but then Goku just disappears with an afterimage. He was never in any danger, only playing back Cell's trick from earlier in the match. Finally Goky fires his first ki attack of the match, a kamehameha. Cell deflects it easily, but Goku is able to get behind him for a strike while he's distracted. Cell appears to lose his composure and beats Goku down to the ground so hard that he makes a crater.
Cell announces the end of the warm-up exercises. Satan and the reporter are incredulous again, even more so after Goku is surrounded by a strange yellow aura! Goku is going to finally face Cell at full power!
