Before the eyes of the amazed Goku and co., Satan tries to fight Cell. At this point, Satan's #1 disciple, Piroshki, and his #2 disciple Karoni land on the arena from a helicopter, and challenge Cell in place of Satan! But Cell easily deals with them, and Satan challenges Cell after splitting 14 tiles. But as Satan desperately attacks, Cell says that he is simply in the way, and sweeps him aside! The television staff is dumbfounded at Satan's easy defeat...
Summary
Part A
The Cell Games begins! Mister Satan and Cell stand in the ring; Son Goku and his friends stand in shock on the sidelines. Cell says that he doesn't care who goes first so Mister Satan volunteers. Goku shouts over that he is going to get himself killed, but Mister Satan and the reporters just poke fun at Goku's ignorance of Satan's superior skills. The crowds watching the battle from afar boo Goku for his naiveté, but the King of Earth almost recognizes Goku from his youth battling Demon King Piccolo but is confused by Goku's changed hair and eye colors. He recognizes Piccolo, but believes him to be his father. Kuririn says to let Satan fight because he can be brought back with the dragon balls.
Satan throws off his cape and prepares to battle, but he is interrupted by the arrival of two of his students, Karoni and Piroshki, as well as Pizza, their manager. The pair ask for the chance to fight Cell themselves and Satan agrees, walking out of the arena. Cell looks on in unflinching annoyance. The crowds in the city are excited to see the new challengers. Karoni goes first, demonstrating his aerial death strike by throwing up a bouquet of roses and chopping them into slowly falling petals. As the match begins, Karoni launches his Beautiful Rose Flying Attack at Cell. Without moving, Cell powers up his ki slightly and sends Karoni flying into the stratosphere. Moments later, he lands outside the ring. Satan and Pizza explain that he got carried away and jumped too high. Goku stares at Cell, eager to get into the ring himself.
Part B
As the distant audience mourns Karoni's unexpected loss, Piroshki steps into the ring. Pizza explains that Piroshki has the strength of ten elephants and is able to flatten a bull with one blow. As a show of... strength?... Piroshki removes his armor, crunches it into a ball, and then eats it. To Piroshki's annoyance, Cell doesn't even stop looking at Goku. He launches into his Megaton Bull Crusher attack and charges towards Cell. He doesn't even make it. A few feet away, he is blocked as if by an invisible barrier. He struggles to push through before announcing that he gives up and is immediately knocked back and out of the ring by the unseen force. Mister Satan accuses Cell of setting up tricks around his ring. Piroshki, Satan explains, may have been stopped by the smell of despised green peppers or perhaps nails hidden in the ground. Kuririn tries to explain that both warriors were pushed back by Cell's ki, but no one listens. Mister Satan prepares for his turn in the arena.
Satan enters, removing his championship belt and cape. He removes a capsule from his gi and throws it down, revealing a bag filled with roofing tiles. He builds a stack 15-tiles high. Pausing for a moment to focus his thoughts, Satan chops the tiles but breaks only 14 of them. Even Cell comes to the conclusion that he is a complete idiot, but the crowd goes wild for his antics. Satan, in contrast, is thrilled by his performance and genuinely believes he is going to win. Satan goes into a combat pose and advances on Cell who still stands motionless in the ring. Satan launches his Dynamite Kick, but Cell doesn't even flinch. Satan attacks with a flurry of punches and kicks, but Cell shows no sign of even noticing the assault. With one sharp blow, Cell launches Mister Satan out of the ring and into a nearby mountain. The announcer and the world stand in shock. How could their hero lose? Kuririn admits that he was rooting for Cell. Piccolo notes that Satan survived; he was so beneath Cell's notice that he didn't even bother to kill him.
Cell announces that it is time for the games to really begin. He asks who will go first and Son Goku volunteers, stepping into the ring.
