Pizza is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball universe by Akira Toriyama. She was introduced into the anime as the manager for Mister Satan and his pupils, Piroshki and Karoni, and as an additional non-martial artist to comment on the Cell Games. She was introduced in an episode scripted by Sumio Uetake.

Biography

Very little is documented about Pizza. By Age 767, she had become the manager first of Mister Satan and then his top students, Piroshki and Karoni. She attended the Cell Games where she arrived in a an extravagantly decorated helicopter. After Mister Satan's loss, she continued to make excuses for her boss and appeared to believe his statements about stomach aches and trickery. After Cell was defeated (by Son Gohan), she attended his victory parade.

Although not seen again for some time, Pizza appears to have still been employed by Mister Satan in Age 778.

Name

Pizza is one of three members of Mister Satan's entourage to get food names. In her case, she is obviously named for "pizza".

Production

Due to the production schedule inherent in producing a weekly anime series based on a weekly comic, the writers of Dragon Ball Z interjected anime-only material both as a means of extending the runtime and to flesh out the Dragon Ball universe. Pizza and the rest of Mister Satan's entourage were developed initially in an episode by Sumio Uetake and used to provide additional point-of-view characters to comment on the Cell Games, as well as to underscore just how powerful Cell was compared to the greatest "regular" martial artists on Earth.

Pizza has the incredible ability to continue to promote Mister Satan and her other clients while seeming oblivious to their cluelessness.

Performance

Pizza is played by Miyoko Aoba in her original run in Dragon Ball Z. She was Aoba's only role in the series. She was later played by Kumiko Nishihara in Dragon Ball Kai and Yukiko Morishita in Dragon Ball Super.
