The Great Witch Marba is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball universe, introduced in the Dragon Ball Daima television series. The Great Witch Marba is first seen in Dragon Ball Daima episode 8, which debuted 29 November 2024 on Fuji TV.

Biography

The Great Witch Marba resides in the Demon Realm, and Doctor Arinsu believes her to be the one who created Majin Boo. Marba says it was the wizard Bibbidi, but Arinsu says Bibbidi never had that kind of ability and asked Marba to create a majin for him.

Arinsu herself cannot create majin either, so she is counting on Marba to make one for her. The Great Witch has something bubbling in a cauldron, and Arinsu provides a sample of Boo, as well as her saliva so that she can communicate with the majin without having to speak. Marba says Majin Boo was just a fluke, and expects a great reward if this one turns out okay, to which Arinsu agrees, provided she becomes Great Demon King.

Marba says she used to have enough Saibaiman seeds to sell them to outsiders, but only has two left. Arinsu says that if Majin Boo really was a fluke, they should try using only one seed for now. Arinsu plants it just five centimeters down; deeper would make the majin more Boo-like, but less controllable. The use of a Saibaiman as the base, with various monsters mixed in alongside the essence of Boo, results in the creation of Majin Koo. Doctor Arinsu immediately wants to test him out against Tamagami Number One to get its Dragon Ball.

Koo loses, though, so Arinsu has Marba concoct another fighter. They use more essence of Boo this time and plant the seed twenty centimeters deep. Mabra thinks that is too much of a gamble, but Arinsu says this is their last chance. Majin Doo is born and, after fighting over snacks with Koo, asks Arinsu what he is supposed to do. He agrees to go fight the Tamagami, and Marba thinks this might have worked out after all.

The Great Witch Marba is not seen again until after the defeat of Great Demon King Gomah, whom she traps inside a special urn for 99 years. Marba says it is actually quite nice inside, with a little garden and various games to play. Majin Koo becomes the new Great Demon King and appoints Marba as a minister for her knowledge, skill, and magic power.
