"End it All Again!! I Will Protect the Future" is the one hundred and ninety-fourth episode of the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Z. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 21 July 1993, receiving a ratings share of 22.6%. It was written by Hiroshi Toda and directed by Hiroki Shibata.
Synopsis
After returning to the Earth of the future, Trunks reunites with Bulma, and talks about what happened in the past. They then learn from the radio that No. 17 and 18 have appeared and are destroying a city, and Trunks flies off to where they are. Not knowing of Trunks' power-up, No. 18 and 17 are pulverized! Time passes, and Trunks lures Cell out as Cell has his eyes on the time machine. Surprised, Cell tries to defeat Trunks, even without being in his perfect form, but is instead overwhelmed and wiped out.
Summary
Part A
In Trunks' Future, Artificial Human No. 17 and No. 18 continued to terrorize the world. Above West City, Trunks' Time Machine appears and descends. Trunks rushes in to find his mother, Bulma, reading at a computer. She immediately notices that he has become taller and he explains his time training in God's Temple. She is saddened to learn that Son Goku died anyway, but happy that Son Gohan was able to avenge his death. Trunks reveals that Vegeta had feelings for him after all, the way that he became enraged when Trunks was killed by Cell. Their conversation is interrupted as a radio announcer reveals that the Artificial Humans are attacking Parsley City. Trunks removes his jacket and speeds off.
In the city, No. 18 lobs ki blast after ki blast while her brother teases her for being angry that she lost at a video game. An old man shoots No. 17 with a revolver to avenge his wife and children, but he just shrugs it off. No. 17 pulls out his own gun and points it at the old man's head. Before he can fire, a blast from Trunks announces his presence. The Artificial Humans are surprised to see him alive. No. 17 is pleased to have their plaything back, but No. 18 says that she is pissed and just wants to kill him.
She fires a ki blast, but Trunks dodges it easily and moved behind her. He knocks her into a building. The two fight and Trunks has the clear upper hand. Trunks reveals that he traveled in time to train and that he found the Artificial Humans No. 17 and No. 18 to be less evil than the ones from his world. The two Artificial Humans come at him together, but he fights them off easily before killing No. 18 with a ki blast. No. 17 is shocked to see the death of his sister. Trunks tells him that he will now avenge the death of Son Gohan, killing No. 17 in the same way. He helps the old man to his feet and is relieved that the battle is over, before remembering that there is one thing left to do.
Sometime later, Imperfect Cell emerges and begins to attack the populace.
Part B
With enough energy stored up for a time machine trip, Trunks prepares to return to the past to tell of his victories against the Artificial Humans. Trunks senses the arrival of Imperfect Cell who has come to steal his time machine. He sends his mother away to confront Cell directly. Trunks tells him that he knows his plan and Cell correctly surmises that Trunks has already been to the past. Cell says that he knows that Trunks is not powerful enough to defeat him or the other Artificial Humans. If that is true, Trunks asks, where are they? Trunks says that they should leave the city and the pair fly off.
Once in the country, the pair fight and Trunks has the clear upper hand. Cell complains that he is supposed to be the ultimate Artificial Human, but Trunks continues his beatdown. Cell tries to absorb Trunks, but the boy catches his tail and swings him around before throwing him high into the air. Cell begins a kamehameha but is unable to complete it before Trunks launches a giant ki blast which obliterates him. Trunks is relieved that the fight for the future is finally over.
Back in the past, in the afterlife, Kaiō puts the finishing touches on his new house. Son Goku is training with Bubbles and Gregory, this time asking them to chase him. Goku dodges the two of them easily. Kaiō announces that the house is finished, but Goku knocks it over with a single touch. Goku says that he wants to travel to meet the "masters of the Next World" and Kaiō, very reluctantly, agrees to take him. The four of them resume their trek across the Serpentine Road.

Production
Tidbits
- This episode contains a flashback to Dragon Ball Z Episode 189 when Trunks explains how Vegeta became enraged when he died. Of course, Trunks was dead at the time so he must have been told about this by one of the other fighters.
- The episode is unclear as to how much time has elapsed in Trunks' timeline since he left. Bulma is surprised to see his year of growth, implying that for her it was less than that.
- From Trunks' perspective, Dragon Ball Z Movie 9 appears to take place just after the future portion of this episode. For Goku, it takes place prior to the end and before Kaiō's new house is fully built.
- This episode marks Future Trunks' final appearance in Dragon Ball Z. He appeared in a total of sixty-four episodes, including movies 7, 8, and 9.
