"Wait, Chiaotzu! Tenshinhan's Screaming Kikōhō" is the tenth episode of the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Kai. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 05 April 2009, receiving a ratings share of 8.5%.

Synopsis

The ki blast fired by the enraged Kuririn defeats three of the Saibaimen, and Piccolo wipes out the surviving one, but Vegeta and Nappa are uninjured! After getting Vegeta's permission to fight against all five of them on his own, Nappa knocks off Tenshinhan's left arm! Chiaotzu clings to Nappa's back and self-destructs!! But even with this, Nappa is unaffected. Nappa beats Tenshinhan around after Tenshinhan, weeping at Chiaotzu's death, furiously attacked him! Piccolo and Kuririn challenge Nappa with a combo play, but their surprise attack fails when Gohan gets scared and runs away. To avenge Chiaotzu, Tenshinhan dies after firing a Kikōhō mustering the last of his energy!! Even this doesn't defeat Nappa!! Vegeta tells Kuririn that he will stop the battle for three hours, until Goku comes.

Episode Notes

  • When Tenshinhan fires his final Kikōhō, there is a scene from Kame House where everyone is watching the battle on the television. This is a remnant of Dragon Ball Z filler. All of the scenes with Yajirobe and the reporters in helicopters are removed in Dragon Ball Kai, so there is no explanation for why the battle is being broadcast on TV in Kai. In the manga, their only indication of what is happening on the battlefield is through the scouter that was reconfigured by Bulma, as seen in Dragon Ball Chapter 230.
