"Grandpa Goku! I Am Pan!!" is the two hundred and eighty-ninth episode of the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Z. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 17 January 1996, receiving a ratings share of 17.3%. It was written by Masashi Kubota and directed by Kazuhito Kikuchi.

Synopsis

10 years later... Gohan and Videl are married. They have a daughter, Pan. Goten and Trunks are miffed at being forced to enter tomorrow's Tenka'ichi Budōkai. Only tiny Pan is raring to go. Goku tells Vegeta that someone strong will be at the tournament. The day of the tournament, Satan and Buu make an under-the-table deal regarding the fights in their waiting room. But Satan starts sweating bullets when he hears that Goku has entered the tournament. Goku comforts him by promising to lose on purpose. Goku and the others pass the preliminaries.
