Synopsis

Chi-Chi is chased by a boar while returning home from shopping. Seeing a married couple in an air car, her dissatisfaction with Goku explodes, and she orders him to get a license. Piccolo also gets mixed up in this. Goku's instructor is the old man Yuzukar, and Piccolo's instructor is the speed demon Cynthia. While out in the rain for their driving instruction, Goku and Piccolo fly through the air to save a school bus that was hit by a landslide. Yuzukar and Cynthia praise them, saying that with such power they don't need a driver's license. Hearing they didn't get their licenses, Chi-Chi falls over from shock.

Notes

  • Unique in the series, this episode is inspired by a two-panel gag comic that Toriyama included on the title pages of Dragon Ball Chapter 255 and 256. In those two panels, Goku and Piccolo are seen attending "Jump Driving School". In the first, Piccolo is seen driving a car labeled #1 with a second car in the background. In the second panel, Piccolo is seen to be driving #2 with the wreckage of the first in the background.
