"A Hot, Unbounded Battle! Goku vs Vegeta" is the thirtieth episode of the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Z. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 13 December 1989, receiving a ratings share of 20.8%. It was written by Keiji Terui and directed by Tatsuya Orime.
Synopsis
Goku and Vegeta begin their duel. Goku requires the Kaiō-Ken just to keep up with Vegeta. But when Vegeta displays his full power, shaking the earth and the atmosphere, Goku cannot handle him even with a Kaiō-Ken x2. Already having surpassed his body's limit, Goku reluctantly resolves to use Kaiō-Ken x3.
Notes
This is the final episode of the franchise on which Katsumi Aoshima serves as the animation supervisor. This episode also marks Mami Koyama's final speaking role as the character of Lunch.
