Major Characters
- Toki (トキ Toki): A 19-year-old who believes himself to be the last living member of the Golden-Eyed Tribe.
- Merluza (メルルーサ Merurusa): A young fortuneteller who claims to be (but is not actually) from Venus. Adapted as "Merlusa" in Viz's official release.
Supporting Characters
- Berry (ベリー Berī): A 25-year-old son of a feudal lord who looks younger than he really is and is sensitive about his hair. Adapted as "Barry" in Viz's official release.
- Ras (ラズ Raz): A sniper working for Berry. Adapted as "Raz" in Viz's official release.
- Cran (クラン Kuran): A swordsman working for Berry.
- Huckle (ハックル Hakkuru): A large henchman working for Berry who wears facial paint that he believes makes him look slimmer. (It doesn't.)
- Kuina (クイナ Kuina): A 38-year-old Golden-Eyed Tribe member working for Berry trying to make some money before he passes on.
Miscellaneous
- Golden-Eyed Tribe (金目族 Kinme-zoku): A tribe thought to be extinct. While its members have golden eyes and extraordinary abilities, they do not live as long as ordinary humans. Long ago, a single tribe member took out an entire army of several hundred people all on their own.
- Thundra (雷龍 with furigana of サンドラ indicating a pronunciation of sandora): So-called "lightning dragons" with a pearl-like gem inside them that fetch a high price on the market.
