Dragon Ball Z: Colossal Chi is a small booklet included as a bonus item within Viz's "Dragon Ball Z: Complete Box Set" (a deluxe box set containing volumes 1-26 of their "Dragon Ball Z"-branded manga in the Shonen Jump "Graphic Novel" size and format).

The book contains information and entertainment splashes that are largely recycled from the July 2006 and October 2007 issues of the company's Shonen Jump print magazine. Some of this content is condensed or otherwise selectively repurposed, rather than printed exactly as-is from the original publication.

The booklet spans 16 pages front to back, including the covers and copyright information pages.

A complementary booklet with similar content — Dragon Ball: Know-It-All — came packaged with Viz's "Dragon Ball: Complete Box Set."

Packaging

Colossal Chi is packaged, alongside a fold-out poster, within the "Dragon Ball Z: Complete Box Set" release from Viz.

The front cover has a text splash at the bottom stating: "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY IN DRAGON BALL Z: COMPLETE BOX SET. NOT FOR SALE OR RESALE". This is accompanied by Viz's "All Ages" rating and the standard Viz corporate logo of the day.

Notes

  1. Originally presented and titled as "Balls of Fury!" introducing the "Dragon Ball Collector" segment in the issue following its Neko Majin Z 5 inclusion.
  2. As in the original publication, this Colossal Chi reprint uses the FUNimation television series English dub spelling of "Vegito" despite the fact that Viz's own "Vegerot" spelling is used in the fusion article.
  3. This "Top 5" list takes #10, #9, #8, and #7 from the original "Top 10" list and puts them as #5-2, respectively, and then adds an all-new #1 that was not included on the original "Top 10" list at all; a "The 5 Best Fights in Dragon Ball!!!" article was included in Dragon Ball: Know-It-All with its own unique exclusions and additions.
  4. This list takes three of what were originally six entries in a "Budôkai 101" article from the October 2007 issue and retitles it here as this "Budôkai 102" article.
  5. Of the 11 questions originally printed, only one is excluded: "Have you ever worked directly on animation?"
