Dragon Quest Anthology (ドラゴンクエスト作品集 Doragon Kuesuto Sakuhin-shū) is a series of three compilation volumes of various Dragon Quest manga released under the "Shueisha Jump Remix" line by the publisher Shueisha in Japan, as — and in addition to a wealth of other merchandise — part of Dragon Quest's 25th anniversary. Two volumes were released in September 2011, with a third volume coming later in November that year.
"Shueisha Jump Remix" (commonly abbreviated as "SJR") is a convenience-store exclusive comics line, the contents of which have been previously published as ordinary tankōbon (or other formats), but are here given a more economical, omnibus-style treatment in a larger size and greater page-count, albeit with lower paper-quality. Unlike a normal tankōbon, "Shueisha Jump Remix" releases are treated as a kind of special magazine (or "mook"), with a relatively short shelf-life and few, if any, reprints.
Series
As the "Shueisha Jump Remix" line pulls from content previous published, each Dragon Quest Anthology volume contains a selection of previously-released Dragon Quest manga:
- Dragon Quest IV Side-Story: Labyrinth of Hell: a two-chapter manga series written by Riku Sanjō and illustrated by Kōji Inada, with supervision from Yūji Horii, which ran in the December 2001 and January 2002 issues of Shueisha's Monthly Shōnen Jump magazine in promotion of the Dragon Quest IV port for the original Sony PlayStation
- Dragon Quest I Secret: The Dragonlord's Bari Bari Team: a two-chapter manga series written by Riku Sanjō and illustrated by Kōji Inada, with supervision from Yūji Horii, which ran in the first two issues of the original 1990-1991 trial run of Shueisha's V-Jump magazine
- Slime Adventure: a selection of chapters from this slapstick gag manga by Osamu Kaneko which was serialized in V-Jump from 1993 to 2000
- Slime Mori Mori: a selection of chapters from this slapstick gag manga by Osamu Kaneko which was serialized in V-Jump from 2003 to 2015
