Thank you. I should've noticed that it wasn't Kageyama, but I guess Kaya's voice kinda resembled his. Also, it seems like this song appears on the first volume of the hit collection, not the second one. And another thing; on which compilations does the song "Spirit vs. Spirit" appears?

The Kageyama song from Tsufurujin scene.

Hey guys, long time no see. I was recently rewatching the old DBZ episodes in original Japanese, when I came upon the scene in episode 20 where King Kai tells Goku the history of the Saiyans. I've seen that episode many times, but I never knew what was that insert song playing in the background ...

Sadly petitions don't work. :?

Well, they did when Julian and couple of others petitioned Viz Comics to stop censoring DB manga. I was one of those who signed the petition six years ago. It worked, but only for a few years. Because as of late, those a**holes from Viz (now Media) reverted back to ...

Heh.

This whole current situation with FUNi and DBZ reminds me of the campaign that Playboy Magazine and the porno channel Playboy TV were playing couple of years ago about Hugh Hefner's mag's 50th anniversary:

"Playboy. 50 years, and we're still just getting started."

Just like that, a similar ...

Well, if you can call vinyls "pre-evolved CDs", then yeah. Laser Discs are "pre-evolved DVDs" alright. Most definately. :P

What's gonna happen when Masako Nozawa dies?

Another voice actor dies. This a very sad news indeed. I loved Kazuyuki Sogabe's Android # 13's performance hell of a lot better than Phillip Wilburn's "tough-talking redneck" one, in movie #7.

As far as Masako Nozawa goes, call me supersticious if ...

Well, I myself am an owner of the Tree of Might LD, and I still keep it sealed. And even though also have that movie (along with two others) on both VHS and DVD, just like Tanooki, I only keep the Tree of Might laserdisc for the sake of posterity. Since LD's are rare nowadays, anyway.

P.S: On a ...

No. The English translations for Dragon Ball were provided by a guy named Clyde Mandelin, instead of Steve Simmons.

Why should any of us care about extras or supplemental material, when it would be presented in Funimation's version of the series? And why does it matter if there are extras or not?

Uh....because it's a DVD release? And that there are customers who pay the retail price of $24.95 per volume may ...

There's like at least 6 people who have worked on the various scripts for DB-DBZ-DBGT dubs, right?

Yeah, there were. The names of which that I remember are: Ward Perry, John Burgmeier, Neel Bligh, Chris Forbis, Sean Teague, and Chris Sabat.

And of all them, Ward Perry is probably the only one ...

Interesting end credits, the Pioneer version first credits the Japanese cast before they credit the English cast. That's pretty damn cool of them. FUNimation sometimes won't even credit the Japanese cast at all.

Actually, FUNimation never credits the original Japanese voice cast, nor the staff ...

First, I looked at the Character Profiles. Even those were riddled with stupid humor and misinformations that upset me slightly.

Well, that's the kind of "quality" product that we've all come to expect from FUNimation, in regards to DBZ DVDs. While the total absense of good extas may be explained ...
