Okay, are any of the All-Region DVDs legal? I originally assumed they weren't, but I've found a site linked on the OFFICIAL Dragon Ball Z site that has them. They include Chinese/English subtitled DVDs and the American 276 episode series in strange sets. So... are they a legit bargain or does ...

I heard nine, but I really can't tell on my own. Its not seven, eight would bulk up the episodes without saga sense, and ten would really dilute the episode count. My guess, nine.

If anyone cares, here's what my predictions were for the next six sets. I went through a bunch of episode guides and 4:3 DVD listings to make my guesses. This is the best I could come up with, and I'm disapointed how the episode count almost plummets from past sets.

Grain or no grain, what FUNimation has now for masters are irreversibly fucked and can no longer be altered (except possibly to make them look worse still), and the only way they'll have another crack at this is to purchase better ones from Toei.

You know, we could accomplish this widescreen thing better if the episodes were simply encoded in 4:3. Then all we have to do is screw up the settings on the TV or DVD player.

Actually FYE, Wherehouse, and Suncoast only have the old one in stock, and the new one isn't even listed. I've been looking for it too and other places just plain don't have it in stock. I do believe http://www.discountanimedvd.com has it and so does the ZStore.
