DUDE! Kunzait, your post like totally reaked of awesomeness, man. Right on all the way especially about Haim Saban. I followed a lot of his stuff back in the day and that's why I was so braindead as a kid. King Kai's voice didn't bother me in the season 1 and 2 redub, but when the Ginyu episodes cam...

I want to get this outta the way first, ADDED TO THE BAD LIST: THE REDUB -And what kind of anime or cartoon company partially redubs shit just for the basis that the voices sucked in the beginning. I never once saw 4kids, when they had Pokemon, redub Ash's voice of the first 10 episodes because he ...

Okay, are any of the All-Region DVDs legal? I originally assumed they weren't, but I've found a site linked on the OFFICIAL Dragon Ball Z site that has them. They include Chinese/English subtitled DVDs and the American 276 episode series in strange sets. So... are they a legit bargain or does FUNima...

I heard nine, but I really can't tell on my own. Its not seven, eight would bulk up the episodes without saga sense, and ten would really dilute the episode count. My guess, nine.SSj Kaboom wrote:What about according to the sides of the box? How many more will it take to fully spell out "DragonBall Z?"

If anyone cares, here's what my predictions were for the next six sets. I went through a bunch of episode guides and 4:3 DVD listings to make my guesses. This is the best I could come up with, and I'm disapointed how the episode count almost plummets from past sets. Season 4: 108-139 (32 Eps) Comfir...

I'm just so excited to finally see this show in its entirety both new English dubbed and more so Japanese subtitled. The Dragon Box will probably never be available in America, and unless you have the patience and dedication to hunt down a bunch of those out of print 4:3 DVDs, then these sets really...

Grain or no grain, what FUNimation has now for masters are irreversibly fucked and can no longer be altered (except possibly to make them look worse still), and the only way they'll have another crack at this is to purchase better ones from Toei. ~Da Lemmy WAIT, HOLD ON. Are you saying FUNimation's...

Actually FYE, Wherehouse, and Suncoast only have the old one in stock, and the new one isn't even listed. I've been looking for it too and other places just plain don't have it in stock. I do believe http://www.discountanimedvd.com has it and so does the ZStore. Sometimes the episodes aren't even li...

There was something about Raditz going to the other world. Did that officially mean that Piccolo was no longer a demon? I mean its something Kami-sama was talking about with Mr. Popo, and I remember Karin-sama (in DB) saying something else about Piccolo Daimao's victims going into some kind of limbo...

I got tears from watching certain moments like Gohan's SSJ2 transformation, Goku sacrificing himself, and the people of Earth giving their energies for Goku's genki-dama (I think) at the end of the series. That was a long time ago, but it only happened through the Japanese version. The dub was fun e...

I got into it when it was in syndication, then I saw the first two seasons entirely on Toonami. My first DVD ever was Pioneer's Dead Zone. In late 2002 I stopped watching because I was frustrated with the dub and not being able to afford the DVDs with the Japanese version. I didn't start watching ag...

I haven't watched Dragon Ball Z since 2002 because I hated Falconer's music and I couldn't afford $25 per every 3 to 4 episodes. The orange brick is what got me back in. I got excited when reading that it had the original Japanese music and revised English dialogue, plus I'd never seen this part of ...

Hi, I'm back. These podcasts are pretty cool. I'm from whatever that generation is when DBZ was in syndication. From there I followed it to Toonami. It was really frustrating finding out Goku was a super Saiyan and then going all the way back to Raditz. When the new tapes came I saw that numberless,...
