I'm a collector of action figures & I tend to leave them in boxes. I got Chris to sign a Vegeta action figure at an Oz Comic Con & he wrote "Let me out!" on it.
I have both the Japanese & US Dragonboxes, so I figured I'd get US signatures on the US ones & JP signatures on the JP ones (IF I ever ...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods
I just checked my CDJapan order, and yes, orders seem to be shipping now...
Looks like I may actually get to see the movie before the weekend! :D
I just got an email from CD Japan to say mine had been shipped too!!
OF COURSE, South Australia misses out...

Re: Buu Saga Kai
I also remember something being posted that it would be 66 episodes long, though I would take it with a grain of salt.
That was me & now I've had a chance to get the DVD I have to admit I was wrong. The Oz Comic Con DVD is now available that contains that panel with Chris Sabat & Paul Eiding. I ...

Re: Chris Sabat announces Buu saga licensed by Funimation
Is there even video proof Sabat confirmed this?
As I mentioned in an earlier post, video proof will be coming, but the convention won't release the DVDs for a few months.
In the meantime no one believes me so whatever. Next time I hear a snippet of information I know where not to go with it...

Re: Chris Sabat announces Buu saga licensed by Funimation
Definitely not a lie. I was the one in the audience who asked him about Kai & that was his reply. I even gave you his exact wording. The panel was filmed & Oz Comic Con always release DVDs of their conventions, but by the time it comes out Kai may already be released...

Chris Sabat announces Buu saga licensed by Funimation
I can't find any other mention of this, so apologies if I missed something, but at Oz Comic Con Adelaide last weekend Chris Sabat announced that Funimation have licensed the Buu saga of Kai. His exact wording was "Funimation have just licensed 66 more episodes of Kai". I was surprised to hear this ...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods
This is probably a useless fact & may have been already mentioned, but a friend of mine is holidaying in Japan at the moment & had her picture taken in a photo booth at the cinema. This photo booth allows you to have have characters from various anime movies put on the image & she selected Battle of ...

Re: Did the JSAT special get dubbed already?
Even if you don't care about the dub, you should want this. It'd be infinitely cheaper than importing the current version from Japan, and it would actually have subtitles. At max it'd be $20, assuming they don't pair it with Episode of Bardock and/or Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans.

Re: Did the JSAT special get dubbed already?
The DVD that was released in Japan is very easy to get ahold of. There are normally 3-4 on Japan Yahoo Auctions at any one time.Kingdom Heartless wrote:At this stage I'd be happy with just a proper release in Japan that I could import.

Re: Episode of Bardock was apparently dubbed in English.
Sean Schemmel did say in an interview that one of the "specials" was scheduled to be dubbbed, but that ultimately it didn't happen for budgeting reasons. It's unclear based on the interview what he was referring to, but since the interview was mostly covering the video games at that point, he was ...

Laserdisc Extras
I grabbed 3 DBZ Laserdiscs when I did my last JYA order using Celga (movies 1, 3 & 11) as I was interested in the colour differences between these & the Dragonbox DVDs. What I ended up finding at the end of Movie 3 (I still haven't watched 11 yet) was a bunch of interesting extras including ...

Re: The Speedy Dubs
I've got a VCD of DB Movie 2 which is laughably bad. I haven't seen any of the other DB or DBZ movies though so I can't speak for them. What's the title Speedy used for DB movie 2?

Re: DragonBox: What is your opinion of English w/ Kikuchi tr
I'd sworn off the dub for years as I love the Kikuchi score, that is until I got my hands on the first orange brick. I was disappointed in the video quality, but loved the fact that the dub now accompanies the music I enjoy so much. It makes it more tolerable, even in the really bad parts (Namek arc ...

Chris Sabat, Eric Vale & Todd Haberkorn are all in Australia at the moment & over the past couple of days I've had the opportunity to interview all 3 of them. Keep an eye on my interviews site:

As they should be up there within 24 hours or so.

I've interviewed Kyle Hebert & Sean Schemmel on my website here:

I got everything I wanted to ask with Kyle, but I was only given 15 minutes with Sean.

I got both the Trunks & Bardock US releases for $5 each at a convention. I thought they were probably the best way to watch the dub with the original score.

Re: First heard of Dragon Ball through the games
I first heard of DBZ through Super Nintendo magazine Super Play. It was one of the few magazines that covered import games. I played the games via emulation (back in the days I did things like that) & didn't really get into them all that much, though I liked Hyper Dimension.

Re: Battle Stadium D.O.N (worth buying?) / Why no English rl
I find it to be a nice alternative to Super Smash Bros. I know it's not everyone's idea of fun but I enjoy it.
