Re: Taiketsu Set *Pics*

Bardock's tail is wrapped around his waist as it usually is.

-Mike

Derp! Now I feel retarded for not realizing that.

Here's some more pics from this morning:

Re: Taiketsu Set *Pics*

I left my phone upstairs, and I'm lazy, so I'll take some pics on my way out in the morning and post them tomorrow. They're actually pretty cool little figures. Odd thing, though. Freeza has a tail and Bardock doesn't. Odd.

Taiketsu Set *Pics*

It's been a while since I've been on here. Wasn't much new to discuss, but I've been lurking. Found these in a newly-discovered Japanese grocery store in Houston (Nippon Daido, for those interested). It's a Bardock and Freeza taiketsu set. I bought them for the sole purpose of letting you guys have ...

Kinda of an add-on to the other Gohan thing:

Let's build the series as a "pass-the-torch" series, and then abandon that whole idea towards the end, and bring Goku as the ultimate savior.

I've never seen that colour map, but it's nice. I'm not sure if the one I'm thinking of actually exists. I may have just made it up in my head based on other pictures without realizing. It looked like the first one posted, but I remember it showing the Kaioshin realm in orbit, and it having a cross ...

I've always thought the tankobon covers would make great dvd covers. Who doesn't want Fat Boo riding around in a UFO?

My favorite is by far the Bardock Special (excluding, of course, the Jump special). It has a very interesting backstory to the Frieza saga, and honestly, the visuals and the story, to me, anyway, is reminiscent of Star Trek.

The trunks special is cool, too, but honestly, even though it is a dark ...

Some might argue that. lol

I do think the ending of the Cell games would have been a fitting very poetic "passing of the torch" ending.

To be perfectly honest, I'm the opposite.

The only waning thing is how much of my life anime occupies. I still love anime to death, though.

Honestly, except for Dragonball, I prefer a much different style of anime. Dragonball is certainly my favorite, but when I think of premium anime, Kikuchi ...

Meh, I'm with you.

Now, while I love anime, dragonball in particular, my true love is movies. I have multiple version of many different DVDs.

I actually still need seasons 8 and 9, and I full intend on getting both of those, and rebuying the entire series in dragonbox form.

I honestly was thrown for a loop as to how I'd ever enjoyed watching dragonball in that form.

I too had this exact same thing happen to me. I suppose maturity could be a contributing factor to the enjoyment of the dub. I don't know how old you are but in early teenage years it seems many kids are ...

Though my main preference is the original Japanese audio + subtitles, I'm also quite a fan of the Ocean group, who practically copied FUNimation's script, so perhaps this could apply to me also.
It's not just nostalgia(though this plays a large part), but I love some of ocean's voice actors, Brian ...

I'm kind of interested in this, myself.

I'm with Neptune, in that I think you should watch whatever you enjoy. I'm certainly not going to rip anybody on that.

However, I tried watching a dub episode (with Japanese music track) to see if maybe I could enjoy the dub more without the casio soundtrack ...

Make sure you're doing that code right. That one is incredibly similar, if not the same as the code I used to unlock mine.

That's similar to the one I have. I've already recommended this once today.

If dvdhelp.org doesn't have it, then it probably doesn't exist or hasn't been discovered, yet. Samsung is know as being very easy to crack, though. Sony is the more difficult ones.

Just visit dvdhelp.org (I think .org, anyway). They'll have easy codes to unlock the region. That's what I did with my samsung. Took less than a minute.

I still can't get over the fact there isn't a single one in the state where DB was "made" for North America. Not one. Fourth largest state in the U.S., plenty of stores and retail outlets, and nowhere to be found.

From some of my fansubs.

It's been a while since I've seen them, but I don't know why I would have this in my head. The promos weren't subbed, though, so I can only speculate on what they were saying.

It was just the Glico logo (don't recall the back ground), and the instrumental violin riff from ...
