GT - Canonical or not?

First off, I apologize for asking this because I have to imagine that this has been asked nine hundred million times before (at least), but I can't seem to find a solid answer elsewhere, so I figured I'd ask here.

Secondly, I'd like to apologize for bringing up a continuity question. Because I know ...

Building a bridge is hard; it takes a lot of planning, designing, math, manpower, funding, and documentation. Swimming across the English Channel is hard; it takes a lot of training, endurance, preparation, self-discipline. Playing an instrument is hard; it takes a lot of practice, study ...

EXCUSE me!? As a voice actor myself, I kinda take offense to this. Only "kinda" because anyone who says it isn't hard clearly isn't in the buisness.

If You Could Use A TFS Joke In A Live-Action DB Movie...

...What would it be?

Okay, for starters, I'm very well-aware that it's a parody series and not the real deal. Every once in a while, though, I see a joke that I think might actually work in a live-action "Dragon Ball" movie.*

For me, I could actually see the Piccolo "dodge" jokes working in the ...

I don't know where they're selling them, either, but you can buy Spanish volumes off their website, I believe.

Well, that just goes to show you that putting DBZ on at 4:30PM Monday-Friday is a lot better than putting it on at 6:30AM on a Sunday.
Agreed. You have the TV networks to thank for that. If only they had known that in a few years anime in the U.S. would be bigger than sliced bread.

it sucks that FUNimation did so many things in the name of "budget" when just mere months later it was basically printing money.
Very true, but I'm sympathetic. DBZ was cancelled at one point due to low ratings, so they had good reason to worry that the same thing would happen again.

I think some direction changes, and a few voice changes could make a great dub, if they had an accurate script. That's what I meant. Some voices, I would like to keep (Cell, Goku, 17, Ginyu, etc), some I would like to change (Freeza, Recoome, etc). Maybe pull Chris Sabat back a tad, to allow more ...

For the most part, the English FUNimation voices. However, since its in my mind, they always deliver their perfectly, LOL.

Having said that, Freeza is the one exception. I hear a voice in my head that reminds me of a mix of Ryusei Nakao and Chuck Huber (probably because I think Chuck Huber would ...

Where did the stereo audio for the SSJ transformation come from? The only Spanish Stereo stuff should be what Funimation released, right? Unless Mexico remastered it themselves, only for rebroadcasting. I guess. :?

Ha, funny you should ask that...I tried asking that myself on the YouTube comments ...

I honestly don't think FUNimation will even dub Kai, and if they did I'd be amazed if they decided to go with a more loyal approach. However, I wouldn't put it beyond them. I find it amazing how much FUNimation has improved over the years as a dubbing company. I never thought they'd become the ...

Chuck Huber--Freeza?

Who thinks Chuck Huber (Artificial Human/Android No. 17) would make a good Freeza? I think he sounds a lot like Ryusei Nakao, and he's very good with "evil, quiet psycho" roles. Thoughts?

Honestly, I love the dub voices. Save one. Freeza needs to be replaced simply by virtue of the fact that Freeza is a male, and therefore should be played by a male. I don't know what was up with FUNimation deciding to give him a female voice. Then again, I don't agree with Japan's decesion to keep ...

"Bitch please..." Takahata's Nappa is legendary, for now. When Shonen Jump published the chapter with Nappa dying i would say it was a (quite) big deal for the series aswell. But now the story has ended and so much more has happened, its not that big of a deal. If TFS works through the entire ...

It was probably remastered for the Uncut DVD's. It just seems odd that the Mexican Dub is the only dub that has it's audio quality affected by YouTube.

It was recorded in mono back when they made it. It has since been remastered into Stereo, but only a few clips of the episodes with remastered ...

The Only Voice Actor To Make Nappa Memorable Is...

Well, let's face it, you know who it is before I say it. Takahata101.

I thought that neither of Nappa's English voices, nor his Japanese voice, nor any of the foreign voices I've heard make him a particularly memorable character. I'm not alone, either. He's been dead in the anime for a long time ...
