That's exactly the reason I think no matter what, the concept of Dragon Ball will be screwed when translated to live-action.

To me, Dragonball Evolution set the stage for what I expected mainstream media to do with a live-action Dragon Ball adaption--arbitrary changes out the ass, bad casting choices, a complete annihilation of the original series' direction... a complete disaster, basically. I have absolutely no faith ...

Just because her true form is ugly and not "standard" for a female doesn't mean she isn't female.

I know the source isn't a databook, but the wiki says Liu Xing Long is female, eventhough her true form seems to be of a male.
