Towale's inclusion in Dragon Ball Fusions is highlighted in an official game commercial in July 2016.

Towale is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball franchise, debuting as the S-rank EX Fusion of Towa and Arale in the 2016 video game Dragon Ball Fusions on the Nintendo 3DS.

Towale's design debuted in the 2016 No. (TBD, likely 30)[2] issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump in an advertisement for Dragon Ball Fusions[3], and was also highlighted in a commercial for the game released that July.[4]

Biography

Towa and Arale's EX Fusion, combining Arale's cuteness with Towa's sexiness.[2] Towa was always interested in fusing with a robot, but how will she fare with Arale?[1]

The player may elect to stop and speak with Towa in the fifth stage of Dragon Ball Fusions, at which point she will ask Trunks about the EX Fusion technique that his mother, Bulma, has developed. Towa asks Trunks and the others to bring her an EX Fusion research partner. Towa specifies that it must be a female robot. This kicks off the sub-event "Robot Saga: Fantastic Fusions".

If the player has not already recruited Arale, the player may fly over to Arale's house to prompt a conversation, where Arale reveals that the professor made her an agility course with rings. This prompts the sub-event "Arale Runs Wild". By completing the course (flying through all 24 rings) in under 50 seconds (Arale's own record), the player recruits Arale to their team.

Returning to Towa with Arale in tow reveals that Arale is a robot to the group. Towa notes that they will actually save the fusion for another time.

Speaking with Towa again, Towa prompts the player to find her another potential EX Fusion research partner, preferably a Saiyan from the past. This kicks off the sub-event "Saiyan Saga: Fantastic Fusions".

If the player has not already recruited Gine, searching a portal on the fourth stage near the player's spaceship will bring Gine to the game's world. Pan notes Gine's tail, remarking that she has never seen another female Saiyan before. Gine recognizes the younger version of Son Goku as "Kakarrot", though this name means nothing to him. The woman does seem familiar to him, however. Gine begins to explain who she is, but stops short and departs. This meeting opens the game's sub-event "An Unlikely Pair".

The player later intervenes as Rubee, Yamma, and Fagotto, three aliens intent on crushing the Saiyans, attack Gine. The young version of Goku jumps in as well, with Gine quietly recognizing him as Kakarrot. After defeating the villains, Gine believes Goku has let his guard down, but Goku handily takes care of them on his own. Goku asks the lady if she is OK, though she responds by asking what he calls himself. Gine thanks "Goku" for his help, noting he has become very strong, just like another Saiyan man she knows that would have taken them out with a single punch. Goku thinks he must still have a way to go as Gine confirms his unfulfilled potential. She decides to stick around with Goku and his team, formally introducing herself as Gine.

Returning to Towa with Gine in tow prompts Towa to become excited about the potential to capture Saiyan strength for her own. When Gine states that she is not actually that strong of a fighter herself, Towa thinks to herself that this has not unfolded as planned.

Following the completion of the main story mode, the player may speak with Towa once again to prompt the sub-event "A Special Sparring Partner". Towa sends Mira out with a special team for the player to defeat; upon doing so, Towa asks if she and Mira can join the player's team (with her own ulterior motive of harvesting their energy to resurrect the king of the demon realm).

With all of these events completed and the necessary teammates recruited (and at least at level 40), the player may use Towa to perform EX Fusion with Gine to create Towane or with Arale to create Towale.

Name

Towale's name (トワレ Toware) is combination of "Towa" (トワ Towa) and "Arale" (アラレ Arare). Towale's name is transliterated on her hat, likely a nod to Arale typically having her name transliterated on a piece of clothing.
