The Maiden Squadron is a team consisting of three warrior girls who transform in battle. Their leader is Ribrianne, whose civilian name is Brianne de Chateau. The other members are Kakunsa, civilian name Sanka-Ku, and Roasie, civilian name Sous-Roas. They were called the "Kamikaze Fireballs" in an early iteration of Ribrianne's Toei Animation website bio. The Maiden Squadron participates in the Tournament of Power as part of the Universe 2 team.

Tournament of Power

Bikal, Jimizu, Rabanra, Zarbuto, and Zirloin participate in the transformation ritual of the Maiden Squadron in Dragon Ball Super Episode 102.

In Universe 2, Brianne de Chateau attends an idol warrior audition in the hours leading up to the Tournament of Power. She cuts to the front of the line, where two female-presenting warriors take offense. They rudely explain to her that this is a martial arts competition, thinking she must be lost, but Brianne informs them that she is stronger than they are. She transforms into Ribrianne and blows them away with a Pretty Canon.

Ribrianne then becomes the leader of the idol warrior group called the Maiden Squadron. Her teammates are first seen when the Universe 2 team is transported to the World of Void by the Great Priest.

The term "Maiden Squadron" (乙女戦隊/Otome Sentai) comes from Ribrianne's biography on the dedicated Toei Animation website. When Ribrianne's biography was first posted, however, the group was called the "Kamikaze Fireballs" (特攻火の玉/Tokkō Hinotama).

They have also been referred to simply as "Fireballs" (火の玉/Hinotama) in official media.

Ribrianne (リブリアン) Japanese VA:  Rina Kitagawa FUNimation VA:  Veronica Taylor First Appears:  Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 91 Ribrianne commands Kakunsa and Roasie as leader of the Maiden Squadron. She transforms from a beautiful girl into a chubby warrior, and attacks recklessly. Ribrianne's name is likely derived from Chateaubriand (シャトーブリアン) steak, a French dish made with a thick cut of beef tenderloin filet.

Kakunsa (カクンサ) Japanese VA:  Ryōko Shiraishi FUNimation VA:  Morgan Berry First Appears:  Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 96 Kakunsa transforms into a beast-like warrior, and attacks wildly by clawing and biting. In the Tournament of Power, she is dropped out of the ring by No. 17's intense roundhouse kick. Kakunsa's name (Sanka-Ku) is likely derived from the Japanese term for chuck ribs (三角バラ/sanka kubara), a cut of beef taken from the chuck area of cattle, characterized by its strong marbling. In Japan the chuck rib represents the first to sixth bone portions of the shoulder roast cut into triangles.

Roasie (ロージィ) Japanese VA:  Yuka Saitō FUNimation VA:  Kristi Rothrock First Appears:  Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 96 Roasie transforms into a Chinese-style magical warrior, a master of the Yacchaina Fist that becomes stronger and sharper the more she attacks. Roasie's name (Sous-Roas) is likely derived from "sous" (スー) and "roast" (ロース). The former refers to the sous-vide low-temperature cooking technique. The latter term, fully adopted from the English word "roast", indicates lean cuts of meat from around the shoulder and back, typically referring to what is considered the loin or sirloin in traditional American cuts. In some cases, rōsu is translated as "loin".
