Series Coverage

Largely, this era is not directly portrayed in any Dragon Ball media. Events during this era are only referred to or shown briefly in flashback.

Notes

  1. In Dragon Ball episode 70, the Turtle Hermit explains that his sister has been telling fortunes for the past 500 years. This conversation occurs in Age 750.
  2. The date for this event originates from Dragon Ball Daizenshuu 7: Dragon Ball Large Encyclopedia. When North Kaiō explains the disaster in Dragon Ball chapter 243, he only refers to it as happening "a long time ago."
  3. In Dragon Ball Z episode 14, the Snake Princess states that King Enma came by 500 years ago. This conversation occurs in Age 761.
  4. In Dragon Ball chapter 244, God tells Mister Popo that he waited 20 or 30 years before leaving his spaceship behind.
  5. This exact date originates from Dragon Ball Daizenshuu 7: Dragon Ball Large Encyclopedia. These events as explained in Dragon Ball chapter 164 offer no specific time period.
  6. In Dragon Ball episode 129, the Turtle Hermit's age is given as 18 years old, working forward from the Dragon Ball Daizenshuu 7: Dragon Ball Large Encyclopedia-assigned birth year of Age 430.
  7. In Dragon Ball chapter 88, Karin explains that the Turtle Hermit climbed his tower about 300 years ago, and spent three years trying to get the Super Holy Water. This conversation takes place in Age 750.
  8. Though this date originates from Dragon Ball Daizenshuu 7: Dragon Ball Large Encyclopedia, it draws upon the age of 291 years old given for Tao Pai-Pai in Dragon Ball: Adventure Special. This date works backwards from his appearance in Age 750.
  9. This date draws upon the backstory given in the first Dragon Ball Z movie, which establishes the fall of Garlic as 300 years ago. Though this movie has inherent complications in the timeline, Dragon Ball Daizenshuu 7: Dragon Ball Large Encyclopedia lists it as occurring in Age 761. In addition to events involving Garlic, Daizenshuu 7 assumes that all pre-Dragon Ball events involving Demon King Piccolo also occur in this year.
