U-105 is the Kanzenshuu catalogue number assigned to an unreleased piece of background music (BGM) of uncertain authorship. The piece debuted in Dragon Ball Episode 9 which was broadcast on 23 April 1986.

Overview

U-105 is very simple and used like an extended musical sound effect. Its harp instrumentation is not atypical for Shunsuke Kikuchi's music, and the setting in C7, the dominant of the arc's main keys (F Minor and F Major), might be suggestive of Kikuchi authorship; however its usage in Dragon Ball Movie 2 (1987) is an argument against, since Kikuchi scored the films to scene. It might be a sound effect from the Hidenori Arai library, or bank music. The piece is not documented on The Suburbs of kenisu's Magicant,[1] but it is sometimes called "The Harp of Sportsmanlike Competition".[2]
