A7 is the official catalogue number of a piece of background music (BGM) arranged by Shunsuke Kikuchi for the Dragon Ball anime in 1986. The piece debuted in Dragon Ball Episode 2 which was broadcast on 05 March 1986.

Overview

A7 is an upbeat Kikuchi arrangement of the opening song "Mystical Adventure" composed by Takeshi Ike. The full composition is part a of the suite entitled "The Mystery of the Dragon Balls", which is track #X on both the Ongakushū record and disc #05 of the Daizenshuu.

The initial piece, A7, was probably included with the image in mind of Goku running in search of a Dragon Ball? In the show, it was used as a light and happy variation on a pursuit theme.

A7 is given the title "Goku's Dinner 'Bird'" on The Suburbs of kenisu's Magicant,[1] the most common source for fan titles of Kikuchi's compositions. The piece was assigned the Kanzenshuu catalogue number of K-31 based on its placement in the series.
