A3 is the official catalogue number of a piece of background music (BGM) arranged by Shunsuke Kikuchi for the Dragon Ball anime in 1986. The piece debuted in Dragon Ball Episode 2 which was broadcast on 05 March 1986.

Overview

A3 is a Kikuchi arrangement of the opening song "Mystical Adventure!" composed by Takeshi Ike. It is almost exactly the same as M23 (K-23), but a bit longer, and with a few minor differences. The full composition is part a of the suite entitled "Mystical Adventure!", which is track #03 on both the Ongakushū record and disc #2 of the Daizenshuu.

A3, which starts the track, is the standard version with the same arrangement as the preview.
Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z Daizenshuu (2:3a)

A3 is given the title "Goku Exercises" on The Suburbs of kenisu's Magicant,[1] the most common source for fan titles of Kikuchi's compositions. The piece was assigned the Kanzenshuu catalogue number of K-33 based on its placement in the series.
