M807 is the official catalogue number of a piece of background music (BGM) composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi for Dragon Ball Z Movie 1. The film premiered at Toei Manga Matsuri on 15 July 1989.
Overview
M807 is the first iteration of God's theme in the film, and the fourth iteration of Garlic Jr.'s theme. The second iteration of God's theme (K-811) is in D Minor; the theme might have been transposed to F Minor to match Garlic Jr.'s theme for M807. The full composition is part a of the suite entitled "Dragon Ball Z", which is track #7 on disc #5 of the Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z Daizenshuu and track #18 on disc #1 of the Dragon Ball Z BGM Collection.
M807 is given the title "Kami Explains Garlic's Past" on The Suburbs of kenisu's Magicant,[1] the most common source for fan titles of Kikuchi's compositions. The piece was assigned the Kanzenshuu catalogue number of K-806 based on its placement in the film.
