C3 is the official catalogue number of a piece of background music (BGM) arranged by Shunsuke Kikuchi for the Dragon Ball anime in 1986. The piece debuted in Dragon Ball Episode 2 which was broadcast on 05 March 1986.

Overview

C3 is a fabrication of the title card music for Dragon Ball using C2B-2 and a gong. The actual title card music used in Dragon Ball features a performance that is slightly slower, using a mallet on an open cymbal rather than a gong. C3 as such is part a of the suite entitled "The Strict Training of the Turtle Hermit School", which is track #14 on disc #2 of the Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z Daizenshuu, and the booklet notes specifically call it "the sub-title piece".

C3 was assigned the Kanzenshuu catalogue number of K-24 based on its placement in the series.
