Name

Masenkōsappō is a portmanteau of Masenkō (魔閃光 ませんこう), meaning "Demon Flash", and Makankōsappō (魔貫光殺砲 まかんこうさっぽう), a compound kanji name literally translated as "Demon Pierce Light Kill Cannon". The kō in Makankōsappō (光, read ひかり or hikari when used as a standalone noun) means "light", but the same kō in Masenkō is part of the compound word senkō (閃光 せんこう) meaning "flash".
